I think 2011 started fantastic, when I got the game. Then over time it improved and got to be much more fun, and the save files much smaller
I felt AWFUL when Minecraft 1.8 came out. I didn't like it at all, except maybe abandoned mines. From the terrain generation, to the purely ugly, and still ugly swamps. And now I have to eat, so you can't just live wherever now, you HAVE to live by food. I guess you could make a farm, but you'd probably starve by the time animals spawn. :l
But I think the thing I'll remember the most was my first and second server. My first server I'm an admin on now, and when I first joined it was a bunch of fun. My second server was fun as heck, and I made tons of friends before it eventually went down, after we all got promoted to OPs (The people that stayed through the dying server). Then my friend told me to join an "Earth" server. Let's just say, it's the only thing that keeps me playing ;)I think 2011 started fantastic, when I got the game. I remember when I first found diamonds, and then I fell in lava about 2 minutes later XD! Minecraft has made me realize that you can make extremely complex building and scenery with just blocks, something I didn't notice when I played other building games. Minecraft was a combination of all my favorite genres: Survival, Sandbox, Free to roam, no rules.
As far as mods go, my favorite mods are Optifine, Better than Wolves (even though the creator is a copyright nazi), Vertical Redstone, and Dynamic lights.
My favorite texture packs are Photo Realism (any resolution), Faithful 32x32, and KabPack.
Looking back into 2011 was a tremendous and quite overwhelming experience for minecraft in general as it grew from being in Beta Form to becoming a Official release at MinCon2011 where many of its contributors and Workers (Mojang) have produced one best games to ever hit the market with over 4million people have bought the single sandbox game.
I didn't get into minecraft till 1.7.3 which was amazingly awesome after my brother wanted me to play.
Then came 1.8-1.9 though i couldn't play them i always watched videos people have made and seen wonderful,
creations come to life thourgh various texture packs, mods, and even the maps that have been done.
Now with 1.0.0 which im happily satisfied to say i can play now, i love it every time i get to play.
So heres a few things i love about the outlook on 2011:
-Gigantic Builds:Done by Vga Awesome:, they done live on there server.
-The End.
_But Most of all im a Builder and i love making new creations and structures of all sizes and minecraft
has been able to serve that purpose with 100%.
-Minecraft Forums for its awesome people and help.
So Thanks goes out to everyone, Mojang, notch,Minecraft Forums community!
I remember buying the game 2 days BEFORE Beta came out i was soo excited to have my silly little dirt house and i couldnt figure out how to change game mode so i was on hard the whole time xD. This game is the greatest game of all time and will allways be the forst game mojang created which is good so i know they will update xD. I hope that this game will continue forever. I love the feel of this game (especially in full screen) because its so different and more involved then other games. This game is forever a GEM in the art of Gaming for gamers young and old and i am glad to have been a member of its faithful fan base from the first day i bought it.

I remember the first time I played minecraft. I didn't know much about mods or gigabytes or ram back then. I downloaded it from the website and it popped up. I logged in with my account (that got all bugged out when I tried create it, so my mom tried using her email and her name as my user!!!) I started world 1, it genarated, I pressed W and BOOP! The screen went black and finally disappeared after half an hour.
Ah, good times. Luckily, I'm getting a new P.C. in like, a week.
MY favorite thing about minecraft is how original it is.I remember first buying the game and signing on for the first time. And it seemed so crisp and new and different. Then night came and the last thing I remember is ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.......BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. it made me want to All CREEPERSSSSSSS.AND THEN I ATE A BY IT UP. .
Ah... I remember when I used to make those Minecart boosters, like the small circle of track with the 2 spinning Minecarts. Good times, I remember when I installed my first mod, Mo' Creatures, I was freaking out and all that, then the update came and it was un-installed. I was pissed.
The most played song on my Ipod us Revenge by CaptainSparklez. I love Minecraft.

If a photon is directed through a plane with two slits in it and either slit is observed, it will not go through both slits. If it's unobserved it will. However, if it is observed after it leaves the plane but before it hits it's target, it will not have gone through both slits.
I remember playing on BizzyCrafting back when Bizzy owned it. It was the very frist minecraft I ever liked because it didnt revolve too much around iConomy and was very clean with a really friendly community. This was back before I knew about dungeons (I found one in 1.3 I bought Minecraft during aplha right after the redstone update) and before I new that griefing was NOT allowed. So if i was greifed I just took it in and went on. That was the turning point of me playing minecraft. Minecraft a game that changed my life (literally) forever! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!

It was runesmith's texturepack.
Did anybody else like this texturepack? I would love to see a fan continuation, but sadly i'm bad at texturing.

That isn't true...Jeb has been busy with Cobalt. It has been weeks since the last tiny update.
