Carl recently pointed out that MineCon tickets are still on sale - but only through tonight! Currently, ticket pricing is $99 per ticket; after 11:59 PST, they will go up to $139. If you're picking up your ticket, be sure to reserve your hotel room at Mandalay Bay as well! Hotel booking is currently enjoying a discounted group rate, but it won't last forever - get yours soon!

I think Notch is feeling a little full of himself. He made one game and because it selss a few million he thinks he's entitled to charge people $99 dollars to go see sneakpeaks at his lacking, slow development?
I see some hater comments in here so id like to try to clarify what I can.
First and foremost. These events cost an ENORMOUS amount of money to put on at all much less to get vendors and such there for your own buying pleasure not Notches.
Second, at these events more often than not free things or exclusives are presented/given/announced. The fact of the matter is that 100 dollars is a good amount of money for young people like myself and so coming up with travel fees plus $100 is a hefty price-tag. Still. A fair one.
Dont be pissy at notch for charging a fair price. Aspirations a *****. So is coding java.
My personal opinion. I would do some not legally acceptable things to get into Minecon, but rent comes first.
