1. Stop double posting.
2. JEB posted the pic, not notch.
3. Jeb said they will be in 1.10 not 1.9 because they will be to glitchy in 1.9 and they are not done.
4. Notch AND Jeb have both said Ghast tears will NOT have any perpous in 1.9 except for collecting.
5. It's called gun powder, not creeper dust.
6. Things. Not thinks. Even if it is a typo, read before you post. Fix up the grammar as well, it makes you look like a 9 year old british child.
7. Spider Eyes will have the same purpose as Rotten Flesh for awhile. Only for collecting/eating when you are starving as it poisons you and you should only eat it when you're dieing.
OH
MY
GOD
...
FIRST OFF. It is NOT 1.9.2, 1.9 hasn't even came out yet! It is 1.9 PRE-RELEASE WHICH MEANS IT IS BETA OF THE RELEASE. IT WILL HAVE MANY MANY BUGS EVEN THOUGHT ITS THE SECOND VERSION.
2. Stop complaining, we're not even suposed to have the pre-release, but Mojang knows that we'll probrobly betray them by releasing a leak so they just made it official.
3. It has NOTHING to do with 32bit and 64bit. You either:
Installed mods when NO MODS are compadible with the pre-releases.
Have mods installed from your 1.8 in 1.9 Pre-Release 2
You installed 1.9 Pre-Release 2 wrong.
EVERY ONE STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRE-RELEASE HAVING GLITCHES. IT'S SUPOSED TO. THEY GAVE US THE PRE-RELEASE SO WE CAN FIND THE BUGS, NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN GOOD ALL YEAR AND BRUSHED YOUR TEETH EVERY NIGHT.
Friggen dumbasses
One I know what the **** I'm doing second I know it's the pre-release, but I guess you just had to state the obvious.
And I'm not complaining, but they have released two versions and I still can't test it out to find any bugs.
i found a bug but for some reason cant edit the wiki, so i'm postin it here, you can pick up lily pads if you remove the water below them and they show up grey and have no name.

i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
Wow! Cannot wait for 1.9 to be released. Seeing as 1.8 came out shortly after its second pre came out, 1.9 might follow suit. If so, I will place snow golems all around my base to keep it safe.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
I thought an Alpha was the real pre-release of a game, before everything is done and the time to try out new things still was going on.
I thought Beta was the finished game, the time to find the bugs and fix them so that the game can be released.
Somehow Minecraft seems to use the beta-time to add more stuff, like it's an Alpha, and going in the oposite direction to a regular beta by adding bugs instead of removing them...
You are correct. Yours are the real definitions of Alpha and Beta. Minecraft invented its own definitions.
Re-download the fille. When you download it, don't click "save", you need to click "save as". Then the little window will pop-up, asking you where to save it. Change the name to "Minecraft.jar" Instead of just minecraft. Then, underneath of the file name, there is a little bar that says "save as type:" with a down arrow on it. Click on that, and choose "all file types". Remove the old "minecraft.jar" to a saveplace on the computer or rename( i removed it). Add the new "minecraft.jar". NB... make sure the "minecraft.jar" you are using is not a zip.
Let see if we can get everyone testing. Let me know if it helped please.
I'm having some trouble installing 1.9. Every time I try to create a new world, it crashes and gives me a java error report on my desktop. If somebody could help me I'd really appreciate it.
Ehhh... I deleted everything in my minecraft folder, redownloaded, removed the original .jar and replaced, now when i click "creat world"
it closes. please help
I am suspecting double extension.
When you rename things in windows, it hides their etension (default)
So when you (or anyone) renames a file, and adds .jar, it will become
minecraft.jar.jar -- even though you seeas it were correct - has the icon, everything - it messes up the game.
To turn on visible exension, do this on vista/win7:
Control panel ---> Folder Options
Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following:
To show file name extensions, clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
To hide file name extensions, select the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
With this you can see if thats the case. Let me know if that helped.
It doesn't.
Since I downloaded the game in Chrome, it was saved with the .jar extension (which is as it should be I think).
Tried shuffling the folder settings, but the extensions seem OK. It's only .jar and not .jar.jar or something
Unforutnately, I'm still playing BlackScreenCraft, and I can tell you, it's not very fun.
I think I'm just better off just waiting for the 1.9 beta update cause at least the update system works.
What do they mean, "last build" of 1.9pre? As in, the next release will be 1.9.0? [citation needed], because this has implications on whether I play Minecraft or Oblivion this weekend.
If I'm interpreting this correctly, and past trends hold, 1.9 should be out in about a week. Also, "two major updates" before release with time for the last one to stabilize before the price goes up would suggest we'll get updates every other week until release, 6 weeks from now.

Tried that, but still no dice.
Black screen.
Reverting back to the old 1.8.1 file is OK though.
