I just don't get why it isn't allowed to resell minecon tickets. Because if you could, I'm sure it would at least become maybe almost nearly possible to get tickets. And I don't see any reason why not.

I am so mad at the Sky fanboys who are like "ADD BUUUDDDER TWO MINCRFT CUZ BURDR Z SP ASWUM ND STUFZ BUDDERBUDDERBUDDER :D:D:D:D" that I am dedicating my signature to stopping them. I had gone into more depth, but the stupid signature limit stopped me. Oh well.
Most likely due to issues with ticket scalpers -- people would just purchase the maximum number of tickets regardless of how many they actually needed, so that they could sell extra tickets for a profit.
I'm sure there will be plenty of people reselling the tickets. It's not technically illegal so what is Mojang gonna do? It would be very difficult for them - if not impossible - to recognize resold tickets.
The ticket has a field for "ticket buyer" printed on it, so I suspect they might require some sort of photo ID. From the minecon Eventbrite web page:
Tickets are non-transferrable - strictly inforced via barcodes and names

Wait, this doesn't make sense then, I bought 4 tickets for my friends. If all the tickets have my name on them, how are my friends supposed to get it exactly? Why even have the option to buy more than 1 ticket at a time then?

You can set the names on your tickets via your account.
if you buy a ticket for a friend or lets say some one decides they cant go. from what i heard as long as you have the person with the recipe who bought the ticket should be fine. when inside minecon its hard to enforce people to stick together with the person who purchased their ticket. its the sad truth and theres not much you can do to stop this.

Yes we know people have said this several times, but the problem with this theory is if you change the name on one ticket it changed the name on all of them. So even in this case it does not solve the problem for buying a batch of tickets for your family or friends.

Exactly. I am looking to buy some tickets for a higher price too.
From what others are indicating, it will change the name and email address on all of your tickets.

I understand that. That doesn't mean my tickets aren't transferable/sellable. It simply means I can't transfer only some of them.

Yup technically this is 100% legal to do this, they aren't selling the tickets so they don't violate any laws...
