Im a PC player now and when I played xbox the only thing I really liked about it was the leaderboard. Im suggesting possibly adding Blazes and newer mobs to it and restarting the leaderboard as people have hacked to get where they are and possibly fix hacking the leaderboard. Adding a daily leaderboard would be nice as well making players have a reason for getting materials, killing mobs, etc. What would make minecraft for the consoles better is if there was more competition and updating the leaderboard with new features would attract much more attention.
I think it would just help out getting a more accurate estimate of how much time of you have spent on certain maps, That my reason for it anyway.
Same here. I like your idea about showing timed played separately for creative and survival as well. Leaderboards aren't currently map specific though... which would also be a nice change; that is, adding in a set of stats on your local Xbox for each individual map you've played. I think localized, map specific data sheets would be more relevant for most people anyways. A person could compare stats with friends playing on the same map instead of just the overall cumulative totals we have now.

This would be more useful than what it is now. Right now the leaderboards do not tell me anything. Well nothing worth knowing. Having it done per world is probably the better way to go. Although how it is saved will add a tiny bit to the world save file. That is how I imagine it would be saved. Plus it makes sense that way.
I think you've actually mentioned this long ago before the suggestions section existed or changed. That and i have seen this talked about since then a few times. Still remains the better way of going about the leaderboards.
How it would save in multiplayer is a different matter, as it is the host that will have their own stats saved in their world file. In multiplayer I think the client would either have a separate file saved, or a single file that is added to for multiplayer. That is the only ways I have thought of so far at the moment.
So for the OP: It might attract more people with what you have suggested, but really not by much. It is an ok idea by itself, but not the best as it in itself has a few disadvantages. Especially for those that are not competitive in nature or those that just want something they can look at what they have done in each world to compare with other worlds they have made. What I do agree with is that the leaderboards do need a rework, or a change to some degree...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
World leaderboards need removed and should be for friends only. There's nothing but a bunch of hackers advertising in the top spots. It's pointless as it stands right now--no-one competes to be #1 in the world, just with friends only.
Personal stats that exceed the 16-bit limit with at least logs and Endermen would be nice. So much wood...and dirt-movers....
Then all we'd need to stop is everyone from boosting with semi-auto farms....
I'd like to see more blocks in there, and make the limit to how much you've mined be hire. Ad a digit and make it a max of 9.
so it goes to 999,999 instead of like... 62000 or whatever it is.
65,535... and if you are going to extend this, you may as well use the rest of the range in the unsigned double long variable type: 4,294,967,295... Which, if you just like round numbers, it could just be capped off at 4 billion.

...Okay?
either way those numbers would be good enough for me.
You could play Minecraft until the end of time before you mind over a billion, nevermind four billion.
i agree, add the other items to the list
Me too.

Would you care if it wasn't able to be hacked by losers?
