Well it got to be better then the 'candy' based one that is coming out next. I'd really like to see something along the lines of doku like texture pack.
I'd really like to speak with the fellow at 4J responsible for making the decisions on what texture packs we need. Its pretty much obvious that the natural texture pack is nearly everyone's favorite, and thus more like this should be the target goal, not some lame candy themed one, which more or less will be a "look at" and not load again, but I hope i'm wrong. My guess is that this upcoming candy based texture pack is for those stupid damn lame freaking roller coaster themed parks (Do I seem a bit biased against them, lol good, cause that's how its meant to sound)
I'd love to see connected textures come out as well, just not sure how they would handle other texture packs using this option without causing some type of update to them, and thus I highly doubt we will see such an option or DLC.

4J said something about PC texture packs having 'legal' issues. I don't see how. I'm sure Vattic wouldn't mind his texture pack going to console. He made it as a free download to everyone else. And since we would probably have to pay for the thing he might even see a buck or two.
Edit: never mind. I just realized that even though he started the faithful a lot of people contributed. But...... there must be a way...
They don't need to copy the work, they can make their own and call it whatever they want. Down the road what would be really awesome is if we had the ability to pick and match different textures from different packs, but I doubt this will happen as well. Any decent builder will tell you that in the end your build is only as good as your texture pack. Soon we will have quartz!
I've had a lot of inspiration lately on doing different things but I just don't have the textures to go along with what I want to do, and this is the sad thing for the 360 version. Soon we will have quartz blocks! At the 1.99 cost, I wouldn't care if they put new ones out weekly, having a good variety of texture packs would be a great, albeit i don't really care for the mash-ups, as the texture packs included with them just doesn't interchange with other maps that well.
I've been wanting to do an elven based map build with custom built trees, but I need pink/ and purple leaf blocks, along with the standard green ones, and thus I doubt this idea will come to reality, but soon we will have quartz.
The really nice thing is that we will soon have quartz, and this opens up builds considerably as quartz is one of my favorite blocks to work with in the game as it goes with just about everything.
I've done a lot of epic based spawns for the PC, used on many servers and I'm looking forward to finally being able to do some epic builds on the 360. There is still some blocks I'd like to have access to that i use for esthetic based looks like the redstone block, and the stained glass but those will have to wait for another TU. I'm very happy to have quartz.
Yeah, the Natural Pack is probably the best one out there. I also like the N7 Pack for sci-fi builds, but its not ideal for survival (no matter what some people say. You know who you are....)
But getting off-topic onto the topic of mixing n matching texture packs, not only would the gamers enjoy the freedom but 4J stands to make a profit as people will likely buy other texture packs just to get their "perfect set". I know I'm likely to do so... right now most of the packs I have are trial versions and I have little incentive to drop the dough on them.
I love the Faithful 32x32. It's classic minecraft but with a higher res. I definitely would like to see that for the Xbox.
Does anyone know if the Natural Texture Pack is a high res? It looks like it could be.
My favourite one I think.Hmm... well.. I don't see the point of this suggestion... I mean.. I guess if others use it fine.. But.. I'm not interested.

You can do it! I believe in you........
