We should have a new phenomenon in the taiga and tundra biomes. It should be Aurora Borealis. For those of you that don't know what aurora borealis is, it is the weird lights in the sky that glow at night at the north and south poles. This would be great, because it would be cool as an exclusive, and it would make one of PC's exclusives look godawful. Their fireworks would not be hard to top. They should have a constantly changing pattern and constantly changing color. This should also have a repeating pattern because if not, it might consume too much RAM.
P.S. If you are reading this 4J, PLEASE still look at the topic at the bottom that has been locked for whatever reason.
You do know that it would not consume as much ram if the pattern repeats. It would not consume any ram if it was one shape that just kept changing color. Clouds don't cause the Xbox to blow up, so why would this?

yeah they seem to be overly strict with topics being locked.
Like.. who cares if there happens to be like more than one of the same topic?? That's good isn't it? Then it means that the suggestions are taking the right direction.
As nice as it would be, the effect would be almost like adding mirrors in the game. A reflection per say. Maybe not as complex, but still a continous check or rotation. Reminds me of some redstone machines... Probably something to if they do add, it would have to be an option for those that don't want that extra lag, even if it is small...
I for one really just 50-50 on this. either way it would not bother me...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I started a thread about this once addressed at 4J devs.
I got lots of harsh words from the likes of Mustache guy etc etc.
But I feel the bug thread is the only place it is possible to see them.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
You know what? The people like mustache guy shouldn't be updating their game as they already have enough things in our game. I feel our game is small and incomplete. So many more things need to be added in order to make it the complete game it could be. There are way too many people like mustache guy and bloody phoenix in our forum. Like, don't even post here if you are just gonna bash every topic you see. Don't update your copy of minecraft if you don't want more features added. Updates add features if you could not tell. The less people like them here, the more motivated 4J are to update our game, to have them feel that they are making people happy, not upset that they are trying to make the game better. I think that 4J are slowing down because of this. Please 4J, don't listen to those people. You are making the game better regardless of what they say. The majority of the people want more things added to the game.
Pshhh heck yeah this is a great idea! This will make minecraft more realistic and it its most likely not gonna cause lag at all because when moon phases were added not much happened when i played on multiplayer or by myself or offline

Though I fear as previously stated, it may be difficult to implement into the game. Especially on multiplayer, where lag can get out of hand easily.
I'm with Tamorr, when it comes to not making a clear-cut decision.
