So, first off, I know that a whole bunch of people, more so the entire MCXBLA audience has been asking "When will we have mods?" and people really want to be able to MOD their Minecraft on XBOX360, honestly that'd be EPIC. I've been actually brainstorming trying to figure out how we could make Minecraft better, and add more fun to the plate. My idea was to add MODS (The idea was stolen from all of you who really cares? jk.)
Adding MODS? WHAAAT?
So I know that Microsoft has this strict "No modding of games" policy, and...who wouldn't unless it was an open-source project or developmer console in a "Beta" stage or something? So, this would make it impossible to add MODS to the game because Microsoft's "No MODS" wall of doom.
Could we add them though?
My idea was to have 4J install the MODS. Put something on the Menu Interface to direct you to your downloaded MOD packs and have Mod packs in the marketplace for Purchase and download. You add these MOD packs as DLC like something like Skyrim does, but enable a way for the players to switch the Mod on and off at will. I know, I don't use C++ to program like they do, but please take this into consideration if you think it's possible, I don't think it sounds too hard. It'd add a lot of fun to MCXBLA and bring more console users to the game.
