Is it just me, or do horses not only spawn far too infrequently, but never in groups or herds? I only ever see one or two horses at a time in my plains biome, and they're usually too far apart from each other to be called a herd.
Considering how much they hyped up the introduction of horses, you'd think actually getting horses to spawn woulnt be such a huge huge pain.
Sheep, pigs,a nd cows shares the cap with horses. Eliminating them will indirectly increase horse spawning.
You're right, but only to a point. In my experience, when you tame/saddle 25 horses, no more will spawn. You can still breed more, but no more horses will spawn naturally. Just the sheep, etc. I posted on this a while ago, and if I'm wrong (maybe I am), no one has said so yet.
Do you know if chickens, ocelots and/or wolves share this passive mob cap too?

Thoughts?

Chickens and wolves each have their own cap; I think ocelets go with the sheep group.
