It costs developers to upload patches/updates to Xbox, whereas they can do it for the computer version almost for free. So I would imagine they will only continue to do so for as long as it remains profitable. Or maybe Mojang's 10 year plan also applies to the Xbox, who knows?

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best."
Lag in multiplayer is due to internet restrictions and lack of servers.
That's not entirely true...
When you're playing a game that already strains to run in single player, the issue is only compounded in multiplayer. In the case of Minecraft, we all already know that the Xbox 360 already struggles to run Minecraft due to the numerous restrictions...
- low RAM
- no Hard Drive requirement (hence no virtual memory)
- save file size limitations
As we know the single largest bottleneck with the 360 is the 512MB of RAM. Due to the fact that a 360 doesn't always come with a Hard Drive, all data is stored on the RAM. When you play online multiplayer, each block may have a different state on each console... depending on where each player is playing. The data on each block has to be transferred to every player in a multiplayer session... and in turn that data needs to be downloaded and updated on each system. That's usually where the hard drive comes into place... as a temporary virtual memory buffer. Since the game must work on all variations of 360 systems, that data has to be stored on the RAM... which is already struggling to keep up with the game. That is why there is lag on Minecraft 360 and this system can't handle Minecraft. The PC version has a system requirement of 2GB of RAM and at least 200MB of Hard Drive space to run the core game... and that PC will struggle to run Minecraft. That's 4 times what the Xbox has.
You cannot possibly believe that the Xbox 360 can handle Minecraft a lot more.
There is a message in the game which states: "There will be an update to the game eventually." Will this message change to: "Sorry, no more updates for this versjon.", when they add the last update?
