On September 20th TU13 came out, and since then... Zero information has been released about TU14, partly because no one is asking. Now we have information about anvils, horses, trading, etc... But they aren't confirmed for TU14. I feel as if 4J is either
1) Making this update the biggest update we will ever get
2) Spending too much time on texture/mash-up/skin packs
3) Taking their time to fix all bugs
4) A mix of 2 and 4, with the fact that it might be because of all the new platforms 4J have to work with, but they aren't coming out until March!
Thoughts?

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
4J is focusing on the ports to xBone and PS# series boxes; the 360 version will continue to be supported (for awhile - I predict no more than 18 months) but it will eventually be dropped. I expect to see one, maybe two more significant content updates to MCXBLA360 (probably occuring in March and August 2014). It's time to face facts, 4J has changed their strategic focus in regards to Minecraft on consoles and has basically moved on from the 360 version.
We will likely continue to receive skin, texture and mash up support as these are extremely low-intensity high profit return activities. We will likely see the skin/texture release schedule continue through the remaining life cycle of the 360 (which is 2 years AT MOST).
If they continue with other platforms then I gurantee XBOX 360 should still be worked on because they know if they release more stuff to buy that people will like they could make some extra money. Besides why would they stop with the 360 just for a stupid XBOX ONE? I'd expect them to have separate people in different departments to work on each platform until they can't do anything more.

Well with that line of thinking, they should have released MC for the original xBox, especially since content on the xBox is also compatible with the 360 console, and worked on a version for the original Nintendo system... maybe even a Commodore 64.
4J will follow the majority of the market share and work to appeal to the majority of the masses first. This means that within about 2 years, maybe even 1 to 1.5 years, most of the console driven community will have upgraded their system to the next gen consoles. 4J has limited resources, so will have to make choices on what they will want to move forward supporting. It will both be in the general interest in with the majority of the public as well as their own financial best interests, to shift to the more modern platforms, plus, they will have more power on the newer consoles at their disposal to be able to put out a better overall product.
I know... it sucks... we, as consumers now feel like we are being forced to shell out a lot of money to upgrade a 'working' game system to the shiny newer model with more bells and whistles that we may or may not like for various reasons...but 4J simply can't support every console everywhere... unless you want to talk to Oracle Technologies and see if they would be willing to work with Microsoft to build a Java Virtual Machine for the xBox 360, and try and run the MC Java Byte Code that is being produced for the desktop/laptop market.
But wait... since the original MC (and Java for that matter) is (intentionally) mod-able... that would violate Microsoft's TOS for no user Modded content...

I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with number two. 4J has artists that do things like texture/skin packs at the same time as the updates are being coded.
I would assume it's because they're working on other versions of Minecraft, as well.
They could also be being coy about it, so they don't get 8,000 tweets about when the update is coming out. Who knows.

I'm not sure where you guys got the idea of xbox 360 not being updated anymore, ALL consoles will be updated until they run out of updates to do (which should have been at TU12 like every other game, but I believe microsoft gave them some extra updates)

Minecraft on the original xbox? Say hello to a 64 block height and a 100x100 map, LOL.

No, all the consoles will be updated, they aren't having ANY exclusives for any console. They've said this.

I'm not saying MCXBLA360 wont get updates, but I strongly suspect that the update schedule will be drastically slowed now.
The question is when that will start to happen. I want to believe its not happening now, and I suspect that's true because even though the new consoles are coming out, its going to be years until either one has close to the installed user base of the current generation consoles.
At the least I just want two more big strong updates, but I would love if we have even more.
I suppose they need to spend time on texture and mash-up packs, so they can make money to keep the game alive.
They are about to make millions of dollars as soon as the next versions come out, and the PS3 edition when is in testing right now.
So it turns out they have barely even worked on TU14.... That sucks.

Did you ever consider that by not spending so much time answering queries about when the next update will come out and speculating with over-anxious customers about what little details the updates will contain ultimately gives 4J more time to actually work on the updates themselves.
Pretty much don't wanna waste $500 on Xbox ONE... Especially since the Xbox servers are going down in 2 years.. I dont wanna waste $500.. If I had to I'd do it for ONLY Minecraft.

Not sure if I'm following this correctly. But microsoft has not said anything to my knowledgeyet about the servers going down and even if they did it would only be the 360 servers. The Xbox One servers aren't going anywhere..they said they are setting up 300k servers for the xbox one. So not sure how it would be a waste of $500.

Where'd you get that? They would not do that, if they would, why are the original xbox's servers still up? What has it been, 11 years?
Yep, they said they haven't worked on it. What did I say? They are spending too much time with mash-up packs.

No, they're spending all their time expanding the user-base. They're working on Minecraft for PS3.
