OMG NATURAL TEXTURE PACK IS LIKE 32X OR 64X I DON'T KNOW BUT IT'S HD OMG WTF HAX BBQ I LOVE 4J ASDFGGFHDFHKLJG
Dude, calm down. We should wait and see what 4J says about what resolution the TP is. We shouldn't assume right off the bat whether it's 16X, 32X, or 64X. It would be great if it was 32X because that would prove beyond any doubt that the 360 can handle higher res texture packs.

32x isnt really HD, Sphax made a 512x pack, which is truely HD
Whether or not the new pack's resolution is HD is not the issue here, the issue is whether or not the 360 can handle resolutions above 16X. Comments posted in other threads have indicated that the 360 is not capable of handling anything above 16X, as far as Minecraft goes. If this new TP is 32X or 64X, then great.

If it looks good and it turns out to be 16X, then kudos should go to 4J for making a 16X pack look good. If they did manage to get a higher resolution pack to work without lagging the game into oblivion, then kudos should go to them for accomplishing that when some people thought they couldn't. It's really only an issue for people that want to make it out to be one, IMO.
Natural is looking like everything I hoped it would be. I agree that it must be be over 16X; it'll be interesting to see what it does to lag. If it does work, it is a testament to how much compression they are achieving with ANVIL.
Yesterday Microsoft accidentally released the texture pack without going through the legal information. So it was only up for a half a hour. Some people we're lucky enough to get it, and that's why he does. Hopefully we can get a release date today, because the John-Smithlike texture pack looks cool.
I played for a little bit last night when the texture pack was officially released. This right here is the texture pack for me. In a sense, it's basically the vanilla look, but upgraded with better resolution, though some of the blocks have been reworked entirely (for the better, in my opinion), which actually makes me want to build with blocks I'd never considered before. For example, I've always used sandstone as flooring, but with the Natural texture pack, with the sides looking more like packed sand bricks, I'd feel more inclined to use it as walls and trimming, too. Cobblestone and gravel look awesome in this texture pack, mossy cobble in particular is incredible! Even the mineral blocks look appealing as building materials.
I'd recommend this to anybody who is skeptical about texture packs. I mean, I used to be, and wasn't particularly sold on Mass Effect or Plastic. But this is wonderful, bravo to the people who retextured the game for this pack!
I wholeheartedly agree with Chikka. This texture pack looks great. Everything looks crisp and detailed. It's a higher resolution and it shines. The ores look like ores, cauldrons look like something you want in your base now and the wood planks just look fantastic. Glass looks like the old glass just much more clear. I went caving, and everything felt rich and detailed. I really like how everything is immediately recognizable.
I seriously hope this is the new standard for upcoming mash up packs and texture packs. It gives me hope we'll get Faithful, or perhaps a texture pack for more modern builds.
Anyways, back on subject... Don't hate. Give the trial a shot. If it's not for you, oh well, maybe next time but I can say that a lot of people will enjoy this Texture pack. The best one so far. I think 4J has found it's legs with this one.
This is a great pack. I like all the etxtures though wood planks just seem a little strong to me, but not bad. My only other sort of complaint is that between cobblestone, stone brick and sandstone, the colour is almost identical. Put all three together and it is kind of boring greys. I do like the textures for all three but wish the colours could have been a little more varied.

Why? I don't see there being a reason why they shouldn't. On the flip side, it wouldn't hurt to ask if they don't say straight off.

512? what is the texture pack called do you know?

This is a definite purchase.
I love the brown chickens!
I agree completely. I wasn't trying to sound like I was one of those people. I think it would be fantastic if this pack was above 16X.
Just checked out the vid. This pack looks amazing. Can't wait for it.
