I mentioned this in another post and derailed what the original post was about. Walmart.com has the pre order up for $59.99 on their site. What are your thoughts about it?
I believe this could be a rough price put up by Walmart to get interest generated, but it could very well end up being the price too. I will be getting it regardless because I love the game and don't mind paying more for it to support the company, but I know a lot of people will feel this is too pricey compared to the 360 and/or the PC version.
I would definitely pay it if that's what they charged for it, though I would prefer if it were cheaper. The only thing is, I really have my doubts that wal-mart is somehow privy to pricing info about MCXB1 that nobody else has announced. It's possible, but I suspect it's just a placeholder personally.
Because Minecraft XBLA has sold over 5 million copies, they know it's a money maker.
Actually, it's sold over 8 million copies. The PS4 and Xbox One are nearly identical at this point. One looks like a VCR and the other looks like an old eraser from school.
Microsoft, or someone else I cannot remember, mentioned that those are place holder prices, not official prices. Even so, I would gladly pay $60 for Minecraft on the Xbox One. The system is as capable, if not more so, of a computer that can meet the requirements to run Minecraft. It's going to be much better on there than the 360 Edition.
I would also like to point out that GameStop is not taking reserve for Minecraft Xbox One Edition yet. That right there should tell you something when Wal Mart does it first (I don't trust places that don't deal specifically in video games like Wal Mart, Target, etc.)
Lovely. As if. Xbox One is gonna be terrible. Why add Minecraft to it?
Since you don't know how to use punctuation correctly (or are unwilling), I spent a little time deciphering your post and correcting it in the quote so others can read it a bit better. Correct me if my interpretation of your meaning is wrong.
As for your opinion on Xbox One, you are certainly entitled to it, but just in case you aren't aware, Microsoft has backtracked on nearly all of the most controversial and anti-consumer features and policies that were so divisive when they announced it. Of course I don't know exactly why you feel it will be a terrible console, but there are many people, myself included, who are very excited for the Xbox One and will purchase it at launch or soon after.
As for your question, they probably felt that producing Minecraft for Xbox One would be a wise business decision, and allow them to deliver features which they otherwise couldn't.

Quick question, in what universe is 8 under 5?
8million+ = 5million+
However!
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

Only a fool would be planning to buy Minecraft on the XboxOne at this point in time. Idc if your already going to buy an Xbone or not. You WILL get raped by Microsoft for any and all addons. Sure, buy it for other things if you want, but if its Minecraft your after you can get everything you want cheaper and easier on the Pc. Yes, even the computer itself, because despite popular belief, it takes only a mediocre Pc to play. To anyone who wants to argue, I say just wait until you guys see the ridiculous prices they're gonna have for content. Stop acting like Microsoft hasn't been an overcharging, under delivering company for near 30 years thats bent on controlling as much media as they can, even breaking numerous anti trust laws as they go.
P.s. Go ahead and quote me and retort, I wont see it

Ok whatever thanks correction officer >.> I prefer Xbox 360 over One so yeah.
PS3/4 PSVITA minecraft will crush xbox now....... microsoft is screwed.....
Yay! Let's all revert back into Neanderthals and sling insults at one another for preferring a console or game on said console! Just because we wanna be cool or we wanna be right and make the other people seem wrong! Yeah! Some how wanting my version to be better makes me a better or cooler gamer in the long run.
I hate myself for being able to remember when gamers weren't like this...

That's why I said over 5, I knew it was over that, but wasn't sure.
How Aboot Now Eh?

8million+ IS NOT
I don't recall saying anywhere in my post that 8 million is less than 5 million. I was just being a bit more specific than skittles17 was.
If not then that's BS.
This. No way its going to be that much.

Don't. It was a golden age that produced some great games despite the glaring lack of hardware by today's standards.
Besides I believe the internet was still a DARPA project back then.
