I like the Win 10 version of MC, but 2 things are keeping me from playing it on a regular basis.
Why hasn't the ability to check your coordinates been included with this version? It's in the regular PC version, why not Win10?
Mojang seems to be churning out quite a few skin packs, and a couple texture packs. IMHO, we don't need anymore skin packs, and the texture packs for sale are just "meh" IMO..
I would like to see a high resolution texture pack offered (32x or greater). I would gladly pay $9.99 for it.
Just my two cents.

Why people assume that just because something is "in the regular PC version" that it should also be in Win10 is beyond me. (Where is that written?) So is wanting Win10 to be "just like" the PC version. The last thing I'd think people would want is for the new game to be to be the same as a 7 year old one. Conversely, why don't people want the PC version to be more like Win10, with controller support, cross-platform play, ability to play with another version, etc.? It's funny, but people expect Win10 to have all the things the PC version does (probably because both are played on a computer), but they totally forget that PE and Win10 has to be kept the same for multi-version play.... which means they're also asking for PE to be "just like" the PC version. But the average smartphone can't handle the full PC version, so now what?
Personally, I don't want a duplicate of the old game- I want the new game to have newer, fresher, better things! Don't you?
All that said, (sorry for the rant) coordinates are nice to have. IF you don't build your home near the spawn point, recording it's coordinates keeps you from getting lost. As Cherry said, essential (but not all) features of PC MC is coming to Win10/PE, but don't expect the ole "F3" to show up (tablets and phone don't have F-keys). Maybe they'll include them in the Map (like the consoles do), or my favorite- a small icon you can click/tap on to toggle the display of coordinates off/on. They will come up with something. Patience. They've added a lot, they'll add more.
In the meantime, as a work-around, try the command "/setworldspawn" (don't type in anything additional). That will show you your coordinates. Another trick is to go home, find the coordinates of it with "/setworldspawn", then use that command again to change the Spawn Point to your home. Then you can use the Compass to always find your way home no matter how far or which direction you wander off.

Well because the PC is the best all-around version. It's also the most flexible. You can change the game in countless ways with 3rd party mods and texture packs. With the Win10 version, any changes from the base game must be added or purchased from Microsoft. If MS keeps MC Win10 a watered down version, people will eventually lose interest. At this point in time, the Win10 version is anything but newer and fresher.
I have no problem with MS charging for new content (beyond the seemingly endless skin packs), but without it, I might as well keep playing the far superior PC version.
Thanks for the tip!

Whether the PC version is the "best all-around" or "far superior" version depends on who you ask. Different people have different needs that the PC version just can't provide (like playing on their console, or on the go, or with another edition, or controller support built in, etc.) No edition has all the features of any of the others Each has their own unique set of features and people play the version that's the best fit for them.
Of course the PC version has the "most" features- it's been around for 7 years. "Mods"? There're so 2015. Add-ons are getting better with more features and will replace mods as the way to go. As LazyKitten255501 said, "Mods only exist because they don't belong in the game." (I'd change that to "Mods only exist because Mojang didn't think certain things should be in the game.")

Mod/Add-in/Plug-ins ..you're focusing on semantics to avoid the truth. The PC version is the best so far. Go ahead and post a poll. I bet the PC version will be the most popular...
In any case, the Win 10 version really isn't new. Mojang didn't build it from the ground up. Win 10 is a port of the mobile version, which is a watered down version of the PC version. So, the core of all versions is 7 years old...

I'm working on a medieval 32x texture pack however I have no idea how long it will take me to finish it up. Here's a few pictures of what I've done so far.

That's so wrong on so many levels.
Poll, smoll. Win10 and PE are each outselling the PC version 2-to-1.
The PC version "is the best so far" because it has the most features. But whether it's the "best" one depends on who you're asking. The best version is the one for the individual that has the features they want. Maybe it's important for them to play on the go, or on their console or tablet, or with another edition, or with a controller. Having numerous features isn't as important as having the right features. (And no matter which edition you play, compromises have to be made).
Win10 is new. It was written from scratch. One of Mojang's/MS's goals for the new game was that it be compatible with at least 1 other edition and for it to be multi-platform for cross-play. PE was the obvious choice to start from. It was never a "port". The two were and are kept alike on purpose or they couldn't play together. Win10 has had numerous upgrades since the first beta version- and PE has been along for the ride (and obviously benefited). If it wasn't for Win10, PE would still be "PE-like".
You can say all the other editions are "watered down version(s) of the PC version". However, each edition has it's own unique features that the other don't, and a reason for being. No one version has all the features of another. (Even Win10 has it's own unique features compared to PE).
The problem is people assume that just because Win10 can be played on a computer it should be just like the PC version (it's suppose to be the PC's version "replacement"). So if Win10 isn't exactly like the PC version, it's "inferior". Course, the PC version isn't like Win10 either! Yes, I know people would love for Win10 to have all the features of the PC version.... and all the features of Win10. In other words, they want it all. (And then they can finally ditch that cranky ole java version for good). Until then, I've always said "Play the edition that has the best set of features for you". Just keep in mind no edition has everything and you will have to make compromises.
There's a lot of things Win10 is behind on (ie, in the number of features) compared to the PC. With that as the only criteria, all the other editions are too.
Course, 1) they've added a bunch of things to Win10/PE in the last year, and 2) you have to remember that Win10/PE will never have the exact same things as the PC simply because everything they add has to be PE (smartphone) compatible. (That also means the PC will never have some of the Win10/PE stuff either.)
Each edition has it's own advantages and disadvantages, and it's own unique features. That's why it's so hard to compare them or say one is better than another one. They're all a real, honest-to-goodness "Minecraft", but they're all.... different.
