I tried installing Minecraft Windows 10 Edition, but when I hit install, it said "Starting Download" for a second and then went to "Try that again Error, See Details" I am able to install other apps and games perfectly fine. I have tried using "wsreset" and more complicated solutions. I even tried verifying my Microsoft account to rule that out. Please help.
I'm also currently having this issue. And that link mentioned above definitely seems malicious. Anyone have any suggestions? I've seen broader recommendations to fix this error on the Windows 10 Store, but it seems to be such a general error that it seems to encompass a variety of issues, and a different fix works for different people. I can still download other apps (like Roblox *cough cough*) but I get this error specifically for Minecraft Windows 10 edition beta.

Yeah, I installed Roblox as a test and it worked perfectly. Skateboard Party 2 works fine too.
But "he" can't fix it himself. Way too complicated. It's a system file, registry error, or even could be that the Store isn't set to auto-update... any number of things. (Hey Gormy Gorm, is this on a PC or phone?)
If I were him I'd do a google search on "Error Code 0x80240024 Windows 10" and start educating yourself. He's probably gonna need a 3rd party "repair tool" or "registry cleaner". It's not a "Minecraft" error.
Personally, for PC's, I recommend CCleaner. It's free, not as "aggressive" as some programs, and has a "registry cleaner". I've used it for years, and what I really like about it is it's one of the few programs that lets you select (remembers) which cookies to keep (like forum sign-ons) and deletes the rest. Will it solve his problem? Don't know, but it sure can't hurt! For me,, it's one of those "must have" programs.

First off, I have done research. Second, CCleaner is full of a bunch of **** that slows down your computer, and I am using a PC
I'm having the same problem. I've checked the registry, I've used wsreset.exe, I've contacted MS, I even tried buying a new copy. Nothing works. The error code means there are no updates, so it doesn't have anything to install. Something on my system is saying that Minecraft is installed already. I did have the regular version installed, but I uninstalled it, rebooted, and still had the same error. Any ideas?
I'm not impressed with your "research". CCleaner doesn't have a "bunch of **** in it (the free version doesn't, which is the one I was talking about). Also the free version is manually activated- it only runs when you tell it to, so how can it "slow down your computer"? I for one will continue to use it as it's not caused me any problems at all.
Flickerscope. Sorry, I got nothing. Other than 1) click on your picture at the Store, Settings, and make sure auto updates is on, and 2) go to Settings (Windows), click on Updates & Security, Advanced Settings, and make sure "Automatic" updates is checked (wouldn't hurt to check for updates even if it says you're up to date). If MS can't help you, I'm lost.
OK, somehow it works now. Some people said that eventually it would just work on its own. It finally just worked for me. However, what's funny is that it *may* be related to not having Windows set to auto update. I had it set to just notify me. I'm not sure that's what did it, but that's something you can check. It's funny that just after I did that, I saw that Geneo had suggested it. :-) Thanks Geneo. By the way, I love Crap Cleaner and have been using it for years.
So again: Make sure Windows (Settings-->Update & Security-->Advanced Options) is set to Automatic. Or at least *maybe* that'll help. Good luck!

I never made a different post about this topic
