A little background on my channel:
I started it in February of this year. I didn't really start getting anywhere until June of this year. Since then my channel has grown at a steady rate. I'm not really big, but I understand the grind most people have to go through to get subs.
My goal with this is to help smaller channels. I'm not huge on youtube, but I remember what it was like to only have 50-75 subs and just feel like I'm grinding away. I'd like to help smaller channels (heck maybe even bigger channels) with feedback, shoutouts, or dual comms. If you're interested read below.
Requirements:
None, I wont to make you sub to me or put me in your channel box. If you really like my videos and want to sub go ahead, but I'm not making it a requirement.
How I'd like to help:
Feedback: I'm not a genius when it comes to videos, but I have learned a lot about rendering (audio and visual quality) as well as what makes a video entertaining. I can help point out what you could do to raise the visual, or audio quality as well the the actual content. Maybe even give you some insight into youtube and how it works.
Shout Out: Not as effective as a dual comm when it can get you some sub's or views. But if someone would like a shoutout I'd be more than happy to do it. I'll end up making a shoutout video maybe twice a week giving shoutouts to people from this thread.
Dual Comm: If you'd like to do a dual comm I'd be more than happy to do it. It would just be a custom map, we'd both record and post it on our channels. My only request is that you be around my age if you want to do this. Also be somewhat professional. I personally hate stuff like someone throwing out "Gay" or "restarted" every minute. Its really tick tacky but it just bugs me and turns some people off to the video.
Stuff I won't do: Subscribe to your channel: I won't subscribe unless I like it. I'm sorry, its a douche thing to do. But it just sounds too much like sub 4 sub to me. I don't have all that much time to watch videos on youtube so I probably won't be able to watch them anyways so it would just become a number.
If you'd like feedback just post a video in this thread. I'll give both positive and negative feedback. I won't trash the video but point out things that could be better.
If you'd like a shoutout just leave a video, or reason as to why you'd like one.
If you'd like to do a dual comm then check out my channel and see if I'm someone you could stand working with :tongue.gif: . Then just message me via youtube, or the boards.
Here's the thing, I love Minecraft, and as much as I would love too: my computer can only just handle playing Minecraft well, and when I record with Fraps/Bandicam, it just shits the bed.
I would love to dual com with you for material on your channel, but unfortunately I can't upload to my channel as well.
Let me know what you think and I look forward to talking to you soon!
Ollie :smile.gif:
Just link me your channel and I'll watch some of your vids and well go from there :tongue.gif:
Also it would be awesome to be able to do a custom map ive always wanted to posted a duel-com on my channel. Please give me feedback ect and my channel is in my signiture. A shoutout would be nice too i only started 1 month yesterday on youtube but have got 31 subs so far and over 2500 total views if that good? Anyway a shout out is nice but if your watching my videos not the miencraft choices ones unless its after episode 3 as the wuality is very good before.
Thanks :smile.gif:
I'm off to work, but I'll check out your channel and give some feedback when I get home. Maybe even set up a custom map or something!
hello my name is brian :biggrin.gif: nice to meet you i have been doing cideos for like 2 months getting like maybe 5 subscribers since i started i would really appretiate it if you at least watched some of my videos and gave back some feedback (i know it lags at some point im getting a graphics card tomorrow) but anyways ill check out youre channel please look at mine http://www.youtube.com/user/Harper2468
Hey can you let me know what you think of this vid thinking of starting a series with stuff like this and sub if you like this planning on doing more like it!

The positive:
+ Kept it focused. Really did a good job of focusing on what you wanted to show and talk about. Didn't get side tracked by anything else and just stayed on task (sounds like homework or something :tongue.gif: )
+ Liked the intro.
Things to improve:
+ Editing. In one of your videos your intro and let's play audio overlapped each other.
+ Post more videos.
+ Also work on the visual quality. Try and remove the black lines above, and below the video.
Hey can you let me know what you think of this vid thinking of starting a series with stuff like this and sub if you like this planning on doing more like it!
Positive:
+ Pretty good editing. Maybe just change the smooth cam to normal cam :tongue.gif:
+ Music fit the video really well.
+ Was entertaining! (Probably the most important thing).
Things to improve:
+ Increase the FPS a bit, or get rid of the smooth cam. Lower FPS really make the smooth cam look choppy.
+ Improve the audio a bit, dunno if its your mic, or the audio quality itself but it could have been a bit better.
+ Work on consistent editing. If the GUI is going to be disabled, have it be disabled throughout the whole video.
I enjoyed it and found it enjoyable. The things I mentioned for improvement aren't really necessary for this type of video. Mostly the video needs to be entertaining, or funny if its that short.
I'd like some feedback on my channel.
The link is my siggy.
Much appreciated!
First off I enjoyed it. I found it funny and actually watched the whole thing.
The Positive:
+ Two is always better than one. Both of you seem to have chemistry. You both play off each other and seem to have been friends for awhile. It makes it more enjoyable to watch (That sounded so cheesy).
+ Found it pretty funny and engaging.
+ Liked the intro... for what its worth :tongue.gif:
+ Pretty good video and audio quality. Both of you were clear and didn't have any distortion. The rendered video looked good. The in game graphics aren't the best, but that's just circumstance.
+ City and Colour reference?!
Things to improve:
+ Have your friend read the notes and look at the details. Not all that fun staring at the menu :smile.gif:
+ Maybe start the adventure a little quicker. Seemed like it took awhile to get going.
Other then that I did like it. You two work well together and your videos are entertaining and interesting. That alone over shadows any of the mechanical aspects. Subbed.
It was a long day, sorry I didn't give more indepth feedback.
The Positive:
+ You had a good idea or plan for this episode. You were going to do something different in this episode than what most LP's do, which is always good.
+ The length was just right. It may sound silly but the length is pretty important, too long isn't always good and too short sometimes leaves too much to be desired.
+ Nice intro... I dunno why but a good intro always catches my eye and makes me want to watch.
What to improve:
+ Audio. I couldn't tell what you were saying sometimes. I don't know if it was audio levels (you should turn down your ingame audio our turn up your microphone audio) or mic quality, but I found that sometimes it was hard to clearly hear what you were saying.
+ Work on preparing for your video. You talked about making a football field yet you didn't make one. Instead you mostly just ran around the world looking for resources. Try to make the most out of each episode.
Positive:
+ Intro was nice and well done.
+ Let's plays with mods are always more interesting.
+ The video quality and audio quality are pretty good.
Things to improve:
+ Explain what the mod is. I didn't hear any explanation as to what the mod is or does. It looks cool, but not to sure what it does.
+ Work on getting higher FPS. I know this is hard due to the limitations you may have with hardware. But try and get optifine, or render in higher FPS (if you're recording in 30 frames) because the video is pretty choppy.
+ Work on the commentary. There was quite a bit of dead silence in the video. Tell a story if you got nothing to talk about, or just ******** :tongue.gif:
I'll get to everyone else in like a half an hour or so. Got to get ready for work +_+
Hi there!
I'd like some criticism on my Minecraft video. Also if possible could you check our my Terraria or VVVVVV video; they're more recent after learning some mistakes from the first minecraft video.
Hey there, could you check my channel out and give us some feedback! :smile.gif: Link is my Signiture!
Nice. I rarely play Terraria so I found the video interesting.
Positive:
+ Audio quality was good on both ends. I could understand both of you clearly.
+ Entertaining. I don't play terraria, so it isn't a game that I would normally watch a let's play on. However you had that right combination. It's always nice to have someone who is experienced playing the game and someone who has almost none experience. Reasons for this being is because it is both more entertaining to watch, and also because it helps to educate the viewers on the game without directly saying "So this mr.viewer is how you play the game". If that makes any sense.
+ Video quality was good. Maybe try and remove the black bars on the side of the video.
Improvements:
+ Dunno if it was lag, or fps. But the video seemed floaty, and/or choppy at times. After watching it for a bit it seemed to be more like lag.
+ Dunno how long you two have played with each other but you both seemed kind of stiff in the conversations. Wasn't a ton of banter back and forth. Not really a big deal because I was still entertained with your video.
+ Turn down the audio levels a bit. In game audio is kind of loud.
Overall:
I found it enjoyable. The fact that it was entertaining overshadowed some of the technical issues. However the small technical issues could really improve the quality of the video.
ok my new one is not a lp just a review but i got the pic fixed
the sound still weird at the start but i fixed it
Let me just say this is much better. I'm gonna try and keep this one shorter than my other once (I wish my feedback was longer and better :sad.gif: )
The audio levels are much better now. Really improves the quality. Only thing I'd work on is editing (with mod videos this is really important) and video quality (video quality isn't a big deal because if I remember its all your PC can render).
Hey, after reading this thread, I already admire you so, so much.
Feedback: Ah bro! I'd appreciate it sooo sooo much if I could have some feedback on my videos. I usually just get comments that hardly help, so please, check out my channel. It's in the description below.
Shoutout/Dual commentary: If you like my video enough that you would be glad to do a dual commentary with me, or give me a shout out, please do. I know I have so much to improve on, but I'll try get there. Haha. Thanks mate, will mean alot.
I've been meaning to ask: did you make your background? haha.
Thanks.
Wow. Thanks man. I did make my Background but I still need to fix it... a lot!.
First off:
Positive:
+ You got a good personality for these. You rarely didn't have anything to say which keeps things interesting.
+ I've never seen anyone play this map before (I actually want to play it now) so for me it was something new, and refreshing. Which is something that minecraft let's plays tend to lack.
+ Audio quality and video quality are also pretty good. Maybe just remove the black lines at the top and bottom (I know I say this a lot but its just something I notice.
Things to improve:
+ Give a bit of information as to what the map is and how it works. Also maybe give a link to the mods and map.
+ Maybe come up with some different sayings. Kind of nit picky but you can only tank a boss like a boss so many times :tongue.gif:
Overall:
I enjoyed it. I found your commentary entertaining and excited. It was a cool and refreshing map which was nice to see.
(sorry feedback was kind of skimpy I'll edit it more later).
If you want to do a dual comm I will. I'm not gonna turn anyone away :tongue.gif: . Just pick a map or something to do and hit me up here, or on my youtube channel.
I'll try and get to everyone tonight. I'm off to work again but I'll be off the next two days. Hopefully I'll be able to give longer more indepth feedback... about the feedback being so brief and boring.
Also just want to say it again. You don't have to sub to me. I'm not doing this for subs. If you honestly like my stuff you can sub. But subbing isn't a requirement for feedback. Also anyone else can give feedback if they'd like... they could probably even give better feedback.
I wouldn't mind a bit of feedback on my videos. I have a lot of ideas of what I want to do myself to fix things, but it's always good to hear from others :smile.gif:
Hey there everyone, I'm Mr13p. I've been around the Youtube world for maybe 1-2 weeks and here is my latest video, enjoy.
A quick question about the dual comm thing, will you be hosting the server?
Thanks for all the videos. Hopefully this is helping some people get noticed as well :smile.gif:
Gonna start watching some and giving feedback tonight.

Any feedback, no matter how harsh is more than welcome.

and if you found me not to annoying id love to do a dual com with you.
A quick question about the dual comm thing, will you be hosting the server?
Edit: can you give me feedback as well? thank you
Gonna start watching some and giving feedback tonight.
