I have no clue what to do anymore. I've tried downloading and redownloading everything at least 10 times along with redirecting java, downloading previous versions of java and much much more. Here are some issues i am currently having:
--- When i attempt to run Minecraft out of browser (clicking the the downloaded icon) The whole "Open File - Security Warning" pops up, i click "Run" and the minecraft launcher opens with the log in and all the update information pops up. Where i log in on this part, the whole bottom half that is usually brown like the dirt is just black with the log in bars. I log in and i get "Cannot Connect to Minecraft.net" So if i try to play "Offline" I see the green downloading bar for half a second and then it goes black and doesn't continue on from there. (Force Update doesn't help here either)
--- So i try to play in browser. It starts to download updates and all that (looking good) but then once the loading bar is ~95% complete, and states: "Done Loading" it stops there.
Honestly, i think it is something with Java. I am running windows 7 on a 64 bit operating system.
Right click the link the launcher, Save As, and save to the desktop. If you get black buttons, make sure your not disabling themes or running a basic theme.... for whatever reason the buttons don't show correctly if you do.
As for the loading problem. open the .minecraft folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\) and delete the bin folder. Then run the launcher again to have it download a new copy.
If its still a problem, then we'll need to know what Anti-virus and malware scanners (all of them) that you have installed. One of them is bound to be screwing with the program.
I'm having an issue running minecraft.exe on its own. It runs via MCPatcher but not if I click minecraft.exe file. I've tried troubleshooting it, messed with Java, googled and tried various fixes... I think I need to have someone help me out . It does the same thing - it opens up the main screen but then gets stuck at black screen. Or it opens java launcher (without minecraft icon - with only java icon) and eats the hell out of my resources and doesn't do anything... I ran your test file and here is what I got. Any assistance is highly appreciated!!!

Norton doesn't seem to be blocking it, i shut off / disabled everything i could and the program still wouldn't run. So im going to try and reinstall java yet again.
Okay i did as you said in order. No longer getting Launch4j error but still having the issue of black screen when i log in. However, when i try to play in browser it claims "Java (TM) is required to display this content"
Still stuck in "done loading" in browser. Still getting black screen from desktop minecraft. And the error test is still just flashing on then instantly off when i click it.

This is aggravating beyond hell!
I am using windows 7
However, when i try to play in browser it claims "Java (TM) is required to display this content"
So do i need to download the 32 bit java as well?
