Ok so recently there's been some mods I've wanted to get and apparently the best way is using MCPatcher (if it isn't please tell me otherwise), i need to put some files in "minecraft.jar" but I can't find minecraft.jar I look at abunch of tutorials, ive wented to the folder files and made sure all hidden files could be seen. But every time this happens. I go to AppData, then to Roaming, then to .minecraft, then click on the bin folder, and it has several programs in there and only one folder, and the folders name is "natives" and nothing in there says "minecraft.jar" I've tried searching minecraft.jar in the search box but again nothing shows up. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong!!!
i have this problem too
i cannot help you because i don't even know how to force update.
i wish i could put mods in minecraft but i can't find minecraft.jar.and i am also using windows 7
Did you remember to uncheck "hide extensions for known file types" while your changing the Hidden folders? Windows by Default will hide file extensions (and every half computer literate user will change that setting when they first login), so your looking your probably looking at a file named "minecraft"
(P.S. I'm using a Windows 7 PC)
