This is the 3rd time i'm posting this and hoping for a freaking miracle because i'm am at the point where i'd like to throw away my PC. lol >I'll start with my PC specs Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit Processor: Intel 2 Core Duo Processor E6400 Memory: 4.24 GB of ram but only 2.11 available Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1650 Series
>The problem.... I can typically run minecraft with fancy graphics and far distance with approx 30 fps. But i perfer simply fast graphics and normal view distance. Minecraft has no problem launching, loading a new world, playing, etc. The problem comes roughly 5 minutes of playing. I will be doing things i always do in minecraft and boom, my computer starts closing programs. Minecraft is usually the first to close. Then skype(which is generally the only program I open while playing) , THEN MY COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN.
> I figure someone is going to tell me to update my video drivers. I'VE DONE THAT! I have deleted my whole [.minecraft] folder and re downloaded it. & have even deleted the .exe and used the Linux download to run it through the .jar file with java. *NOTE* HAS PROBLEM WHILE PLAYING IN BROWSER AS WELL* I've deleted my java and uninstalled it and reinstalled it to the most updated. I've ran minecraft using the 64bit version with 64bit java I've used MCPATCHER to allocate 1024Mb to minecraft (didn't change anything) I've also allocated 2048MB to minecraft(still didn't change a thing) I ran 5 FULL computer scans with trusted antivirus software such as Kaspersky. and used them to clean my computer of all the malware and viruses they could find. Also deleted my antivirus to see if that was conflicting with minecraft and causing it to crash my computer with No Result! >I've been playing minecraft since about Minecraft beta 1.4 . So I typically know how to fix errors with mods and etc. I'm not that skilled with computers and have been unsuccessful of finding anything close to the problem my computer is having on google. I have spent hours uninstalling un-needed software and programs to fix with with no change. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! Also: I understand it could be my power supply...HOWEVER, I can run games like CoD Black Ops. and it atleast doesn't crash my whole computer...I will say though that CoD black ops does seem to get an error with Directx after probably about 30-60 minutes of gameplay... But i have Directx10 and it wont let me install Directx11 for some reason. That doesnt concern me though because i hardly play that game anymore. The crashing of my computer also happens to TERRARIA.
See my reply in the other posts. Something is doing a graceful shutdown, and you need to find out what it is. So stop making new threads, and stick to the ones you've already made.
the other ones get pushed down page after page and you are the only one answering... sorry that i wanted an answer from the rest of the community? I did. All i could find was a bunch of errors from MacCafe. thats it. nothing to cause a shut down though
While bumping generally discouraged, with support/help threads the mods are a bit more lenient as long as you keep it to a minimum. At most once or twice a day, just to get viability when more people are online. Since its community run, theres no problem ownship that has to be followed, so people will only chime in if they think they can add something useful.... or to make fun of 6+ year old hardware.
Recreating the same post over and over again on the other hand could be considered spamming... especially since your starting from the top, and got responses in the other ones.
Anyway, to state again.... you need to check the event logs for the shutdown request and see what lead up to it. Something has to actively monitoring the system and calling the shutdown if it thinks something is wrong. Monitoring software can and will be able do this, but rarely do so without user configuration. If its a pre-build, it could setup like that from the factory.
Try using optifine if it doesnt work then I dont know but i think you should try 32bit java if it doesnt work then I dont know what you can do but just try my suggestions ok
I have around 60fps on normal and fancy graphics. I dont need optifine. And besides ive already tried that anyway. I Have a 32bit java... ive also tried 64 bit as said in the original post.
So did you try stopping a process called rlvknlg.exe in your Task Manager if there is? Then getting Malware Bytes, quick scanning your computer and removing the Adware.RelevantKnowledge things?
Yet hes ignoring what could be a critical clue to whats happening. Automated graceful shutdowns are extremely rare events, and almost always tied to some kind of preventive action from monitoring software. Other games are crashing after extended use as well, including Terraira, a DX9/XNA game.
Something is obviously shutting down the system for him. So the first step is finding out whats doing, what the program is for, and then figure out why it wants to shutdown the system. And the event logs are the best place to start that search.
You should try unplugging your internet and then playing Minecraft. If your computer doesn't shut down anymore, you're probably hacked or someone connected to your net is messing with you.
I've played minecraft Offline. and it has happened while my internet was off.
when i read the event logs. all it had was a bunch of warnings for MacCafe trying to run after i had set it to not run on startup because i had gotten a different antivirus software to use. I did this while these crashes have been occuring.

Its not going to come up as an error or warning because Windows sees it as a Valid shutdown request. Your looking for an event type 13 (indicating the system shutdown), and then trace it back timewise for an event 1074. A user initiated shutdown will show 2 log entries, One for winlogin.exe and another for explorer.exe.
Well. my computer just crashed again. This time i was only running Skype and the internet. no minecaft, no games. As soon as i started my computer back up i checked the event logs and the only thing i found moments before the crash was 2 warnings. one was event id 1530 and another of id 4001. The 1530 one was from windows profile service. the other was from WLAN auto config saying "WLAN AutoConfig service has successfully stopped."
This was the stuff from the warning event ID 1530 User profile service Task catagory None
