it couldn't possibly be the update. minecraft is only a few megabytes, applying an update .jar would take less than a second for mojang.

The servers are down. It may be 1.3.1. Just a thought.

They don't do a 1.3. It's 1.3.1.

Same problem. My connection on my Windows Vista laptop was fine, so I was like "What the....." so I came here to look.

No they are not, just a small quirk with the login servers. Should be up in 5.

It`s really odd... I was looking forward to Minecraft today.
