So question simple and to the point: What is the easiest way for me to play Minecraft with a friend in the same house as me? (not joining someone elses server)

(oh other Q quick, say I make the server at my house where my internet is, if I take my computer to my friends place, can we still play the server there with their internet since the server is on my computer?)

Put the server in a folder and run it.

For your second question: as long as you're in the same local network (using your friend's internet), you should be fine.
He hasn't even set up the server yet, his friends hasn't tried to connect to the server yet.

Sorry, mistyped a bit. I meant that as something to keep in mind for when the server is set up.
