So, I start the Minecraft launcher, log in, everything's fine. I get in my world, and everything's fine. I press F11 for full screen, everything's fine for a few more seconds. Then the game freezes. I go into the task manager to see what's going on, but when I get there, I see another window that says, "Java platform SE Binary has stopped working".
I've been getting this problem for a while now. Yes, my Java is up-to-date. Any help?
EDIT: Wha? Seems to be working fine now. Just turned Advanced OpenGL on.
EDIT 2: Dag nabit the error is back to haunt me.
Try installing Java 6 Update 31 alongside Java 7 update 3. Java 7 isn't needed yet for any programs, but many things are coded on it, so it's helpful to have.
Also, what OS are you using? 32 bit or 64 bit?
If you are running 32 bit use 32 bit Java. If you are running 64 bit then use 64 bit Java.
Hope this helps!
I have this same problem too, as I try to press F11 it freezes within seconds. I'm going to ask Java about this problem, its getting quite common, I'll comment here when I know how to fix it or if it can be fixed.
Okay never mind that, it would cost 50$ to contact them and just get them to fix this... Obvious... I'll just look around on the internet trying to find ****. Sorry.
Here is a video comment from the same error:
I fixed it!
all i did was installing a java version matching my systemtype
just open up your start menu, right click "computer" and press properties scroll down till you see your "systemtype" it should say something like: 64/32 bit operating system. then u just install java with that high level of bit :DDD
i had java 32 bit but my systemtype was 64 so i downloaded java 64 bit for windows and now it works!! :DD just google the java download ^^
Open start/Run and search MSCONFIG
System Configuration should pop up
When it opens up go to the tab "Startup"
Scroll down untill you find "Java(TM) Platform Auto Updater"
Uncheck it, and click apply.
Will ask you to restart your computer, do it
and i should work.
Worked for me i had the exact same problem
Just turn down the render distance in video settings. It was really laggy for me and then it crashed and when i turned down the render distance it worked fine.
I fixed this problem by uninstalling Java completely and afterwards downloading latest version from http://www.java.com/en/ .
This problem started few days after i Updated java... I hope this helps good luck
I have spent hours and hours and hours trying to fix this ever since one fateful java update a couple months ago.
I finally figured it out though, and it had nothing to do with java oddly. I went to my graphics card and went to an older driver, and it seems to be fixed as of now.
so if you have run out of hope and options, try this.
