I started a Minecraft server on my Mac, everything is working fine for me, I can join it using localhost and I have enough RAM to run it. I want to have someone connected to the same internet that I am join my server, but I'm not entirely sure how. He tried typing in localhost, that didn't work, and I tried having him using my IP adress (they are the same) and that didn't work either.
I have not forwarded my ports because PortMap is incompatible with my router, but I read that he should be able to connect without me having to forward my ports. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Plus two other concerns: Your server's firewall has to allow the incoming connections. Your Wifi has to allow connections from Wireless to your server (some only allow Wireless -> WAN by default so that you network can't get hacked by random people)
