Hey guys, so I got this new computer on Christmas and it is amazing, and i can run every other game on max or high graphics without any lag (All valve games, MW3, Skyrim, etc.) and get around 100 fps. When I go to play Minecraft I am really laggy. I usually get around 15-25 fps even on small fog. (Don't recommend stuff like turning down Minecraft settings, getting optifine, gamebooster, or more RAM, none of those do anything for me.) I don't really understand why it lags and I have been trying to figure it out for days now, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Okay I installed both of them and let it do what it needed to do, I can tell a little bit of a difference but not much. Is there anything I need to do to make it kick in or something?
1. close your browser. browser cache and minecraft cache create some unexplained error when the browser has been opened for prolonged amounts of time.
2. if you use an intel chipset, disable OpenGL, it isn't compatable.
3. change performance to 'max FPS', so it uses max cpu/gpu to perform best quality.
4. open your gpu's image display settings, and make sure it's set to 'performance', rather than quality.
5. uninstall chrome.
6. allocate more memory to java, see: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/350344-allocating-more-memory-to-java-windows/
7: restart your pc.

It is an HP, any ideas on how to fix it?
