So I decided to start a Bukkit server. I set up everything then when I add it in the server list, it says "Can't resolve hostname". And when I start the server it comes up with this.

Press any key to continue . . .
You probably got the hostname wrong.
Go into the server properties and change the IP to the hamachi or IPv4 of your IP.
There are tutorials out there also, use those.
Thanks it worked! I changed it to hamachi IP. But will me friends need Hamachi to get in?

nuuuu you want to leave that line blank. if you've set everything up right your external ip (or hostname in this case) will automatically redirect to any programs using the ports that you've specified. if you have hamachi other people will also need it to connect to your server. this can be annoying :sad.gif: so i'd recommend port forwarding. it takes longer to set up but it's waayy more worth it. port forwarding can be annoying, but if you know what you're doing it's hella easy. ill tell u how if u need help
