Well the higest lvl i went is lvl 40 but my friend then just gae me a lvl 50 sword and bow the lvl 50 diamonds sword will give u 2 fire and bow will give u infinty arrrow {but u need to at leat hold 1 arrow} also it gives u punch
and flame 2 i forgot the other 1 do but the bow will be the strongest wepon on minecraft with lvl 50 vs lvl 50 diamoonds sword.
highest enchantment i've seen is 47... also, it doesn't take very long to get to lvl 50... only like.. 15-20 minutes.
All you do, is set up a grinder, let em drop so they get killed in 1 shot with fists, or stone swords... then you go to inventory, do something for like, 20 minutes, come back, and laggy as **** but kill em all and you got lvl 50+
i've made 50 level 4 tools in 10 minutes.It isn't so rare just patience.
Playing TableCraft, and I got a level 50 enchant in just a few minutes with my own setup. I'll show you how I did it.
Start off with the typical configuration...
Next, we raise the enchantment table a block higher, so it gets to fully take advantage of the bookshelves' supportive properties.
Next thing we need to do is make sure no blocks are in any close contact with the bookshelves. I like to be extra sure and do this configuration below, but I'm not sure if that's really necessary.
Lastly. Light is an issue when it comes to the arcane arts. This isn't White Magic. We need to make it as dark as possible. (Yes, I tested this and light does affect the enchantment level probability). So, we make a sort of housing around us. Notice how the housing isn't touching anything. That's how it should be.
And there you go. Here's some additional advice which helped me get level 50 enchantments quicker.
1) The higher level enchantments ONLY appear in the BOTTOM layer. So don't worry about the top 2 if you're looking for a 50. See?
2) Use 2 of the same item you wish to enchant inside of the enchanting menu. This way you don't need to double-click the item, but click only once to change the enchantments you get. This can help to ease impatience, stress while doing it, and speed it up. It also prevents you from accidentally missing the level 50 enchantment.
3) Count the numbers out loud. Because the enchantment only appears in the last row, just count the numbers which appear there every time you click to change the enchantments. Counting them out loud will do the job fine. This really helps you to prevent missing it and makes the process seem shorter than it actually is. If you get good at this, eventually you can count in your head.
4) Because the top 2 rows are insignificant when looking for a level 50 enchantment, you can just block them with a piece of tape and paper (possibly black or colored with sharpie). This can prevent distraction and increase your focus.
5) Lastly, the lettering you see next to the enchantment can be translated, but it's mostly irrelevant to whatever enchantments you get. The words are randomized, however, the same enchantments will come with the same word patterns on the same map. So, if you remember that pattern and desire the same enchantments, you can just search for that match to be sure.
That's all folks. Please tell me if there's any problems, and keep criticism clean please. This is all also completely factual, as I've tested it several times and as you can see by the pictures, the level 50 enchantments occur quite often. It only takes a few minutes to at most half an hour to get a level 50 enchantment. At least it did for all the times I tried it. Hope this helps you guys.
P.S. Every time I picked the enchantments with longer lettering, I got better effects from it.
The the enchantment table only takes in 30 enchantment tables. I read this on the wiki "To get the highest boost, you need 30 bookshelves..." -Minecraft Wiki So all you really need to do is a ring of bookshelves 2 high and and and entrance, like this: xxxxx x---x x-e-x x---x xx-xx where x: bookshelves, -: air, and e : enchantment table
I have a question.. With 1.3 did they change the enchanting levels?
Highest I can get is 30.. And with that, I've gotten 3 enchants on an iron pickaxe (fort 2, unbreak 3, efficiency 4)
My experience level had been 40. But the highest cost was still 30.
