Hello, i've got a problem and need help. I'm installed Debian several days ago. Before i was WinXP Home SP3, Minecraft was working well on it (30fps avg). But now i'm getting only 1-2 fps. Tried to increase Java heap, installed LWJGL 1.8.1 (latest), Video card drivers are fresh.
Configuration:
Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2GHz
4GB DDR2 800MHz PC2-6400
Radeon x1550 128MB DDR2
30 FPS on average isn't that bad, but in order to increase your FPS you have to buy a new graphics card, but you could try updating your graphics card by going to
System > Administration > Hardware drivers
(Well this is for Ubuntu, but it might be the same as Debian)

I had 30 fps on windows, now there are only 1-2 fps...
As AMD have dropped support for this card you are limited to the open source drivers, I would be inclined to try a more bleeding-edge distribution for improved AMD open source support if that does not work/or remains slow.
Thanks, i'll try it..
