1. I download the Modloader Mod thing, and copy all the class files into the minecraft.jar bin folder.
2. I delte the Meta-inf foldur and then let it go through.
My questions are
1. After I downloade the mod loader folder am I supposed to have a Modloader.txt file in the main .minecraft folder?
2. I am trying to download a few mods, but they seem not to be working why is this?
make sure you dont have the pre-release installed. also, make sure you have the right version of mod-loader. the reason you dont have mod loader.txt is because you get it when you first succesfully run the game with mod loader installed. try force updating and trying again if all else fails. like if this helped :biggrin.gif:
If I helped you in any way, or if you think my smart-assed comments were funny. Please hit the green button in the lower right corner of my post. Thanks!
Are you downloading the right version of modloader?
I'm pretty sure I am, I go to the forum for it, click the download and then copy all the files. I tried the whole force update, and reputting the files in but NOTHING so I really don't know what is going on.
the mod link in my signature has a tutorial to install its mod, even if you don't want to try the mod at the link, the same concept applies for all mod loader mods and it shows how to install modloader, so you would do the same but for whatever mods you wanted

I know how to install the mod >.> hense I have put all the files into the folder and everything, just no Modloader.txt is loadeing into my thing as of right now.
Well, make sure you've got the right modloader version for your MC. And its best to add mods slowly one at a time to discover where the conflict is. At each stage that works make a backup copy of the bin/minecraft.jar so you don't lose your progress and have to start over. Modloader.txt is created after you run each time and gets replaced each time you load.
Many mods now work just by putting the zip(s) the creator offers into .minecraft/mods dir. Lastly if the mods need modloaderMP (even some SP mods) you need both copied into the .jar, and some mods need MC Forge aswell. When there are conflicts between mods usually they're trying to both overwrite the same base class file(s).
Only thing else I can reccomend is reading each mods install instructions carefully.
I have two problems I am hoping to get help with.
