how do i force minecraft to allocate more ram
p.s. i have a .exe file so no .jar
my java folder is located in (x86)
You do have a .jar, it's in the minecraft folder. Everyone has a .jar. The .exe is simply a launcher which tells the computer to run the necessary processes involved in the .jar.
As for how to allocate, there are plenty of youtube tutorials on it. Google it.
just look at videos on your tube. The problem for me wasnt that i didnt give java enough memory but that mc only used 50% of the memory. I made my mc use 100% of the memory that i gave java and was able to give it less memory.

they dont work when i have to do it in the cmd it says javaw is not reconised
Yes, the fact java is located in Program Files (x86) means you're using a 32-bit version of Java on a 64-bit version of windows what in itself can cause memory issues.
Ok i will get 64bit version ill get back later to tell you if it worked bye
As a note you may have difficulties find the 64-bit version without using a 64-bit browser and so you should consider using Internet Explorer 64-bit just to go to java.com.
