I have a problem. I have a server originally set up using vanilla Minecraft 1.7.3, then converted to Bukkit, then updated to vanilla Minecraft 1.8, then 1.81, then to Bukkit 1.81. Installed plugins are BukkitUpdater, Essentials, LWC, LyTreeHelper, Multiverse-Core, Multiverse-Portals, Multiverse-NetherPortals, Permissions, WorldEdit, WorldGuard.
It seems that since first updating to vanilla 1.8 or 1.8.1 (not sure of the exact point), I lost the ability to create new nether portals. Existing portals continue to work, but new ones cannot be lit, and existing ones that get blown out (by ghast fire, say) cannot be relit.
I have allow-nether=true in server.properties, and I can mvtp to either of the existing nether worlds. I discovered that Essentials defaults to having all nether functions disabled (for the love of god, why?), and re-enabled them in Essentials. The following is my Essentials/config.yml nether section as it now stands:
I've tried making the folder value exactly match an existing nether world, and that didn't work either. (Does that setting imply Essentials will only support a single nether world?)
What am I missing? Nether portals USED to work, and existing portals STILL work, I just can't create any new ones or relight any.
Oh, also: EVERY time I use a netherportal that is working, I get disconnected because I "moved too quickly". How do I turn that off? I understand the check is supposed to be there for something to do with flight, but it's gone completely berserk.
I am not a modder, but I am a mod user. I didn't check but did you already get the 1.8.1 plugins update, because if you didn't it might have glitched. If so maybe you should make the server vanilla and install the plugins, one at a time to see which glitched it.

Far as I know, all my plugins are up to date. I think what I missed stating above was that to try to eliminate plugins as a cause, I stopped Bukkit and restarted vanilla, pluginless, unmodified, out-of-the-box Minecraft 1.8.1, and the problem was still present: I still could not strike any new portals or relight dead ones.
