Hi, we've been playing on this world for a couple hours on and off over the past 2 weeks and suddenly today we started experiencing a crippling performance issue when playing on the world, the issue affects playing this particular world both online and offline. New worlds created, don't suffer this problem.
What can be done to resolve this problem? Can people here help confirm the problem? Me and my friend both have very similar computer configurations and we strongly doubt the problem is caused by a change in our computer configuration.
I am not 100% certain it is world corruption as the world can be played on still, at less then 1 FPS.
Me:
Intel i7 920 @2.66GHZ
ASUS P6T Motherboard
6GB 1600MHZ DDR3 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 250GTS 1GB
Tons of free HDD space

6GB 1600MHZ DDR3 RAM (Different brand)
Nvidia Geforce 285GTS 896MB* (*Or whatever it is)
Tons of free HDD space

No, my idea about experience orbs appears to be correct. I submitted the world to this guy at http://mcsaver.net/ and told him what I believed it was and what you thought it was and he found out it was indeed experience orbs causing the lag. He also told me how to remedy this myself in the future :smile.gif:
So yeah the world wasn't corrupt as I originally thought (From reading various threads on this forum) as that should mean that the world is buggy or the world can't be opened at all without potentially crashing Minecraft etc. and neither of those were happening, the world was definitely playable without any strange bugs etc. it was just a crippling performance issue that was hindering playing.
