Hello :smile.gif:
Recently i've been installing mods and such, and i had to delete my whole minecraft folder because i didn't know how to un-install the mods so i could get the new version of minecraft.
I would like to know how to update my minecraft without having to delete any files that would include mods previously installed, or delete ANY SAVED files and stuff i have :smile.gif: ?
PLEASE NOTE: i have a mac :smile.gif:
On the minecraft login, click options then "Force Update". It'll load and then you'll have a clean minecraft (but the option and property files will be there, but not do anything). Enjoy!
P.S. You'll have to get the updated version of the mods before you reinstall. And any mod-specific blocks that you've placed or have in your inventory might crash the game. So put the updated mods on before you go on that world.
.minecraft back that folder up then when the update comes out and you don't like it you can switch to the old file and have everything how it used to be . Then when all the mods that you have you can update to the next version.
