Well, I
a)reinstalled Java, and it still didn't work.
b)have been an administrator on this computer, and have been ever since I got Minecraft.
c)updated Java for XP. It's Java(TM) 6 Update 26, the most up to date version.
The thing is, it worked with Java update 24-25, and older. I don't know why 26 is any different. The only difference with 24 and 25 is that when I downgraded, the launcher window with the News and Twitter pages and resources wasn't formatted correctly.

This may be counter intuitive, but uninstall java 26 and then install java 25, I've found it to be stable and support Minecraft.

I downloaded update 25 and installed it, but the error still came up. I restarted my computer, and the error came up again. Is there a place to get update 24?
Any ideas on how one might go about fixing this problem?
