So.... yea. My .minecraft folder has reset to pre-firstdownload layout once again.... like for the 28th time over 4 days. 5th time ive redownloaded the .exe. 3rd time ive completely deleted the .minecraft folder. 5 full pc scans, and nothing. But... ive found it happens a lot more when switching between offline to online... so whether that has something to do with it...
Also, the folder only resets itself when the game attempts to patch itself. which... if the .jar file becomes corrupt... how does it do so? and why would patching the .jar file completely reset the .minecraft folder?
Also, this only started happening the 4 days ago, which nothing else was done to the computer at any time. like nothing installed, nothing downloaded. it happened the first time id even turned the internet on in 5 days, just to play minecraft.
A little confused, none of those questions have to do with lost save games.

Did your world disappear from minecraft? Is it corrupt? Lags? Can't move? "Saving Chunks" Crash? Crashes when you open chests? It can be saved!
