Hey drunk guy (since you keep bumping into things), it sounds like you used MC patcher for your texture packs. This sometimes bombs the game because of Open GL memory conflicts.
Since you already tried the browser and JAVA versions as apposed to the EXE version, I recommend un-patching your textures using the latest MC patcher. viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=252531
Lastly, make sure your memory is set high enough in Java.
I have the same problem :sad.gif: Stupid Java not working well on 64bit systems :sad.gif:
Getting pretty pissed, I wasn't able to play MineCraft for 1.4 - 1.5 now :sad.gif:
My minecraft isn't working either and i'm on 1.5, before it was fine on 1.4 but know its pissin us of anyone know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if antone doesn't help us im gonna send creeptopilise on ya ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" /> ]" title="-<->" />
P.S creeptopilise is in a storie im reading called miner's eternity, it's a fantastic storie too. who ever wrote it, great job

Let us know if any works.
I dont use high res texture pack, im underaged, and swear never to drink in my life. only pack i use is painterly pack which does not require a patcher because of its low resolution.
Having the same issue. C'mon, SOMEBODY has to know how to fix this **** apart from vague 'oh, uninstall and reinstall?' advice. Protip to future posters; IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY CLUE HOW TO FIX IT, DON'T POST SOME BLAND UNINSTALL-REINSTALL ADVICE, THAT ISN'T GOING TO FIX THIS.
Yeah, I forced the update, but it didn't do anything. It's been crashing on multiple computers too, including two laptops (one mac and one dell).
The only way I'm able to keep it from crashing is by pressing escape every two minutes, saving to the title screen, and resuming my game. It's tedious, but I'm counting on Notch to fix this issue, as many many people are experiencing it.
I have been cruising forums and trialling solutions for about 3 days now, nothing has gone towards a solution.
The problem I am having seems similar to some of you, I will pay for anywhere up to 5 minutes and then freeze, no crash report, no black screen, just freeze.
Ok guys i dont have the same issue as you guys but here is an option.
download the McPatcher There>>>http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=252531<<<
You dont have to do anything fancy here, all you have to do is run it and click "Test minecraft" and it should 100% work on the first go.
Since i use this method, i simply made a shortcut for it on my desktop, by the way, if you have a decent computer may i strongly suggest you download this texture pack Here>>>http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=136785<<<. Following the instructions will also help boost your gaming experience in minecraft.
I hope my suggestions helped!!!
(NOTE: Every time you will run minecraft like this your achievements will be reset + they also wont be saved even tho you can still unlock them.)
I dont know if it will work for you guys but just try to pathc it with the patcher and then test Minecraft.
Atm im just trying to post possible solutions for people i havent actually tried to dig in any yet.

It has to be the mcpather beta the latest one like the other guy said but hit pach not test, and I got got some one with this problem who hasnt added any mods or tex packs wich blows our theory of that out of the water lol

Same issue here. And it's not a texture or mod pack causing the issue, unless a LACK of texture packs is making it crash.
Minecraft worked fine about a week ago for me. I hadn't updated it for a while, but it was working fine. Then my computer had issues and I had to update EVERYTHING, and only after all my updates did I have an issue.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Java, did the same for minecraft. Forcing the update didn't fix the problem either. The game starts up, lets me log in, shows me the loading screen, then it shuts down and I get a .txt file with java error messages. Playing the in-browser thing gives me the same result, only instead of a crash I get a white screen.
Anyone got other suggestions?
