i noticed my world 3 and 5 have a DIM-1 folder in their save folder my world 5 ( my main world today) is crashing constantly but everything else is working fine. But i used to play on world 3 but quit cause i got bored. so is it important? will deleting it ruin my world forever?
The DIM-1 folder is what The Nether is saved in. If you delete it, the next time you use a Netherportal, the entire Nether will be regenerated, so if you had built anything in there, it's gone. And if you had multiple Netherportals, you have to use each of them from the Overworld to recreate the corresponding portal in The Nether. And if you saved the game in The Nether before deleting /DIM-1... yeah, you're trapped. But the Overworld is not affected by the existence (or lack of) a DIM-1 folder, and it's not even created until you activate your first Netherportal.
