To start things off:
Yes, I used the search function and did not find my answers.
I am not very tech literate (yet!).
My predicament:
Ive put a lot of work into the current world I am playing on and would like to back it up. I know it has something to do with the minecraft.jar file and I had no problem locating it. Now how do I back it up?
Do I just copy and paste it into a safe location?
Is it the only thing I need to backup or do I need to do the same for my world files?
If I need to back up specific worlds do I just to copy and paste them?

On Windows Vista/7 it is in C:\users\[your user name]\Appdata\roaming\.minecraft
If you can't find it just search for minecraft.
Vista btw.
