Please do!
A fix on this would be appreciated! : )
I saw one of the threads that had a youtube-vid on how to fix it, but it was for an older version... And the problem was on the login-screen, and not the "ingame"-problem.
having x64 OS and NOT having x64 java.... isn't often the cause, nor a solution. Most users who have some idea how to use their computers know what to download (though most users have no idea what they are doing).
Either way suggesting that installing x64 java is some sort of a "fix" worth being stickied is a bit off....
But its a compatability issue between windows java and minecraft and it has fixed many problems. I say because most people dont even know what 64bit and 32bit is then it is important for people to see. Just because its not a patch dosent mean its not a fix. It works, gets most problems on 64bit windows fixed and I have been called a hero twice so I think it deserves a stickie.

I discovered the 64-bit java fix when trying to debug an apphang in minecraft, then I saw others had found this also. It's a good workaround for what appears to be memory bug and should be in a faq or pinned. I don't know if it's in video ram or the program heap. Using 64-bit java has helped many people and it's the first thing I would recommend if running a 64-bit OS. For the 32-bit OS people I would start experimenting with jre 7 and see if it helps. This is all cut and try.
I guess all I'm saying is if you are on x64, you run x64 programs when you can.... Else there needs to be a sticky about x64 bit DRIVERS for hardware too....
I've tried reinstalling Java and deleting the bin and rescource folders, but nothing..
any help would be appreciated :smile.gif: thanks
