Well now I'm getting kinda pissed to see that other people still have not received the game way after the 24 hour mark. Unless I hear from someone saying that their game got activated, or some reasonable explanation about why this is happening, or why someone hasn't already done something about it. Then well I'm done with minecraft and I'm getting my money back, cause I'm pretty pissed to see that NO ONE has done anything about this.

So there's a problem...oh well, it's christmas, you REALLY think they are gonna be coming on here to look to make sure things are working properly? NO! If they're normal human beings, they're going to be with family, and giving and sharring and all that happy stuff...so why not stop complaining, go be with your families, have a merry christmas, and check back every now and then till it's working again? I'm with this person. Either be patient and wait till Christmas is over or just dispute the payment and get your money back. Being an impatient brat won't help the problem.
I wouldn't even say dispute the payment. That has a negative impact on the other party. Unless you seriously need that 20 bucks back NOW (which if so, why did you buy the game in the first place?) then let it be until we hear back about the problem? I mean if it's a WEEK and still nothing, ok...maybe dispute it then...but don't do that after just a day or 2...these are what...5 guys? It's not like a multi-billion dollar company with thousands of workers...comeon now...

I'm happy to wait another five days with no response at all, but five days after Christmas is more than enough.

It most certainly wasn't christmas when I paid for the game. Do excuse us for being upset that we cant play a game that we paid for. If your service is down how about not accepting payments. Or hell even some kind of statement saying that they are aware of the issue.
Yeah, and I've seen many things saying that people bought this a day or 2 ago, and still nothing. And I also noticed someone say that if Notch has enough time to post that he is spending time with family (not saying that is a bad thing, by all means I would say go for it) But didn't check on this at all, that kinda seems annoying. Now if they had sent out a notification saying that things were going to be very backed up due to no one being around before hand I would have perfectly fine and left it at that. But no, no one did, and the only activity I have seen is possibly a bot on a help site saying to wait for 24 hours, and people have been waiting 36+ hours. All I'm asking for is some form of acknowledgement that they know and are working on the current problem, not a bot telling us to do something that doesn't work.

I purchased this game 10 hours ago (granted, not as long as most people it seems) and I'm waiting to be able to play as well. If you look at Notch's tweet, the dude isn't even in his home country right now! So you're telling me that you're going to be a whiny lil baby because your game isn't available yet? Oh well buddy, mishaps happen...and he more than likely doesn't even know it yet...10 to 1, as soon as they realize it, there's going to be a million appologies. this is getting quite frustrating... nearly 2 days now, and nothing... Sent an email the first 24 hour round, never got a reply.
The answers have changed from one to another the longer my wait has gotten:
First time i wondered why it wasn't instant[1 hours waiting]: "The verification process may take a few hours during the holiday season"
Second time[14 hours waiting] : "The verification process will take up to 24 hours to clear"
Third time [26 hours waiting] : "There is a lot of holiday stress causing verifications to be delayed. Please be patient as all the registrations are processed"
Fourth time [2 days and counting....] : "Your upgrade will be processed after the holiday season"
What a GREAT marketing scheme to a prospecting customer. Advertise as an instant action, and then just say "meh... maybe you can get it if i feel like it after i'm done being unprofessional".
i've been working with online games for several years now, and having anything that is not instant, while not good for business, should at least carry some notification of why its not instant. If i were told that i would have had to wait until after the holidays to get the activation the FIRST time i asked, then i might have been less upset... but to be told continuously that it would be here any time now... is just stupid. If i wanted to wait in ridiculous 'holiday lines' like this, i would have gone to the mall....
yeah... he may have family to be with. But he also made the choice of having a business, and releasing a sale/beta at this time of the year. Why would you make something available if you aren't going to actually make it accessible? Anyone in a business would know that sales this time of year are up... and sales for games are up, due to kids being off of school. Why would you be anything short of prepared?
