Hi, I've had this problem since I started minecraft months ago, didn't really care at first, started using texture packs to make the game look better so now it's kinda bothering me. As you can see in this ss, it's not very nice looking, and it's always like that.
graphics card is nvidia 8800GT, on windows vista
actually it's not very clear at all in this screenshot, but it's actaully very visible, blue-ish color lines between every block.
I had this problem too, fixed it today. The problem is caused by antialiasing, in my case, NVIDIA's. You have to change antialising settings to "application-controlled". I don't know how to do this in other drivers, mine is:
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Antialiasing - Mode
My OS is Windows 7 and graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT

i tested the AA all the way from 32xQ down to 2x and the lines were present until i turned it completely off. judging from the posts on ATI as well. the game just doesnt like AA.
just a little FYI for those that like to use global AA settings.

both my anti-aliasing and anistropic filtering are set to use application settings and i'm still getting the problem. i use catalyst and XP 32 bit. any other ideas?
I doubt anyone willre ad this, but I'm using catalyst control center, but even when I check the box that says Use APplication Settings, I still get these annoying effing lines. PM me if you can help...thanks
Figured I'd give this another bump because my 9400 GT upgraded today. I figured many other will as well. The upgrade defaults your antialiasing settings to "Enhance the Application Setting". This causes the OP's problem in MC. Following Thales42's advice fixes it back:
