On my server, the growth option in the server.properties-file is set to false, but trees are still growing everywhere. This is obviously very annoying, so what am I doing wrong? Is this a bug, or do I have to do something else?
Settings don't change until the server is reset, unless you're using a custom script/server that has /config
By reset, do you mean the application needs terminated and started again? Because that's how all of the options in server properties work. Or.. did you mean the level needs deleted and regenerated with the option set off?

The server must be terminated and restarted for it to re-read the server.properties file.
