I dont know about it creeperhost_Luke I would want a server with just my friends not public. But I see the server host wants a public and popular server.
Well, I'm saying nicely, you're not going to get a free server for just "you and your friends", it doesn't really work like that. There are thousands of people that want a server just for "them and their friends", so, they use their money to pay for a good service...why should you be an exception?
Couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you, Luke.
If you *really* want a small FTB server, why not try one of these options?
- Solicit a bit of money each month from your friends. That's what a lot of people do (I used to do that as well), and it works pretty effectively.
- If you want this server for YouTube, you're out of luck for now. You might want to try to increase your subscriber count and views for now.
- If you're really desperate, you could try to host the server on your PC. There's a wonderful thing called "Hamachi" out there, and it's perfect for private servers. If your computer sucks, you can still run a server, but it's just going to run a bit slowly. But then again, if I can run a Minecraft server on my antiquated 2002 iMac (that doesn't even support Minecraft), you should be able to run something on your newfangled computer.
- Or, if you really want to, you could just keep hopping around the "free trial" plans of hosts. I don't recommend it, but that's what I've heard of some people doing.
The point is, you're out of luck if you want a tiny little FTB server for you and your friends. If you have any questions, my guide is always going to be there (until someone removes it, of course), and I'm open to questions through PM.
