So, after looking in the forums, reddit, tumbler, and twitter, it seems to be that 45% are against horses, 45% are for horses and the 10% that doesn't care.
Where are you on this?
Do you want horses?
Why or Why not?
Do you think it was a joke?
I personally am half and half on this.
Horses would be kinda cool if they are easier to handle than pigs, sure.
But then again, why?
I would love to see horses in minecraft, as they would (me assuming here) be faster/easier to control. If they did happen to add horses, then i believe they should add a few things. A saddle bag, (something to store items on a horse/pig) A way to craft it, and possibly a way to craft regular saddles. Just my opinion though.
P.S: I agree with WoeUntoYou, but i think minecraft is already very original in many ways. If they added horses to the game, it really wouldn't affect the originality. (Once again, just my opinion)
Yes and no; I don't want horses because they are unoriginal, but i'm not satisfied with the speed of pigs. I'd rather have a different mob instead of horses since pigs don't cut it. Either buff pigs (which I personally would not want unless it makes them more of a pack animal) or create a new mob.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I feel like we don't need horses anymore. But I agree with Kholdstare. They could make some new mob for riding, like an undead mount found in the nether.
Pigs suck and it is annoying trying to breed them if you have saddles on a group of them. And why did I have my saddles on them? Because they don't stack in chests and I find them all the time in dungeons and villagers always want to sell me them to free up new deals.
With my iron golem farm for rails, or even just quick potions, pigs as a mount don't make sense.
I'm all for horses as long as they don't do the lame thing of not giving them any drop like they did with wolves, villagers, cats. And sheep might as well count as not having a drop being how cheap clippers are.
But, that said. Even without a drop a actual useful or a passive mob with some use (Even if you never use it) is better than a 100% no use passive annoying mob like the bat.
I would like to see horses in vanilla, so long as they can be controlled directly like boats (even if it's just as sluggish to turn), rather than indirrectly like pigs.

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best."
Wow, the 45/45/10 scale is suprising accurate to the forum votes.
Me? I'm kind of against them. It just seems like something that should be left to mods.
I resent the implication that because I wouldn't mind horses in the game I must be a 'brony' or something like that. Nope, I just like the prospect of more mobs! If they didn't put in vanilla horses I'd probably seek out a mod for it eventually.
i would love having horses in minecraft even though its not very original but heck it would add alot of feeling into minecraft like mid evil, feeling and just would add to the rpg effect which would be awesome even though i'm kinda against it but it would be still awesome to see, and make castles and have guards riding horses with bows and i would really love to see flaming arrows without lava.

Your not a brony because you want horses in the game, but bronies are why I hate the idea of horses in the game. It's almost if it's giving them a way to ponify Minecraft officially.

Well that's stupid.
Now the only thing that slabs are useful for is decoration.
When will Minecraft stop updating? When pigs fly over the frozen plains of hell, twice in a blue moon, while Taylor Swift sings a song called, "Maybe I'm the Problem".

Edit: I still like the idea of hay bales. Just not horses.

Yes, I want horses in the game so I can ride something and not dangle a carrot in front of it.
A double resolution texture pack that stays faithful to the original Minecraft textures.
