I don't think the design needs to be changed completely to be good. The huts just need a few extra decorations. Vines and cobwebs would be a good place to start.
I don't think you know how coding an in-structure game works in minecraft. It is very time consuming as you have to place code for each block and each block as to have co-ordinates that move from a single block. chances are you are going to mess up at least once. This is a snapshot anyways so they will fix it and they are playing around with it.
But it IS just an opinion, even if others agree with you. There are probably more players who are completely okay with it, minus the floating furniture.
I find so terrible the "don't like it do it better" argument... It is just a variety of the "if you can't do it you can't complain" argument, which is just as worse. Can it even be called an argument?

With apologies to CynicBound, what rodabon is saying is that you are willing to engage in discussion and an exchange of opinions, which is great, but if someone posts an opinion that is critical of your opinion, you either ignore it or pass it off with a blithe reply. I don't think this would be as obvious if you weren't so active in this thread--because you actively reply to so many posts, it becomes rather obvious when you don't reply to a post. This is why rodabon said that you can't bear to acknowledge honest criticism, because that's what it tends to look like. You might want to spend a little time with those critical posts as well if you are really interested in open discussion on the subject.

Ok, honestly, it is not hard to program a structure, and it is very easy to test, you set the spawn rate way up, and then you find a seed that puts one right next to you, and then you make small additions, so honestly, this was because Mojang either wanted it this way (which I doubt), or they were lazy, which I can deal with.
Mojang are completely terrible at building structures, look at the temples they made in the desert, and the jungle for instance...
The only things that look decent are their strongholds (when a ravine, or mineshaft doesn't cut in), and NPC villages. (when their isn't a terrain issue intersecting those also)

Strongholds? They are constantly cut up no matter what.
Please observe that that hut is obviously not in a swamp.
If you built that in a swamp it would sink halfway into the peat in less than a year.
Unless you LIKE hauling hundreds of pounds of stones just to build a shelter that will only be habitable for a couple of months before the interior becomes a mud pit...Now if you would like to apply some logic to the matter (instead of pulling out random malarky that sounds cool but makes no sense), allow me to demonstrate what a real house built in a real swamp look like. (Disney World doesn't count because that cost millions and had an army of construction workers.)
Now, please build this in Minecraft and see how it looks.

I think the temples look fine... although that is not the point of this thread. I agree that the post above me does have a good point, stone stuff might sink.
Please observe that that hut is obviously not in a swamp.

When has Minecraft ever followed the laws of physics?
He says you are being bias and that lot's of things that you are stating are opinion. Just because you don't like them means they suck, I like them.
It actually does.
But it IS just an opinion, even if others agree with you. There are probably more players who are completely okay with it, minus the floating furniture.
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
Remember kids, when the mod crashes delete system32!

They look pretty ugly, and I'm hoping he improves them.
Maybe, huts could have cobwebs?

Exactly why I said "when a ravine, or mineshaft doesn't cut in".
