I can't believe how rude so many of the replies are in this thread. You've got Benjamin, Knochenbow, & EmeraldCreeper all who specifically roll out the word 'whining', which is just a passive-aggressive way of calling someone a baby. So it's really just name-calling. Then you have Sparkle124 above me doing the same thing with the word 'arguing'. Which is of course a simple synonym for discussion that you use when you don't like what someone is saying.
Someone should be able to state an opinion without having to be attacked by so many people. If you don't agree with their opinion you should go post your own opinion in a new thread instead of replying just to attack their person.
Free speech works both ways buddy. Don't claim your opinions are protected and then tell everyone who disagrees they can't post theirs.

Minecraft is a sandbox game, right? So why does Mojang insist on breaking everything?!?!
-Redstone Obsidian Generators - Broken. Lava no longer converts redstone to obsidian. WTH?
-Above the Nether Gold Farms - I spent hours making my gold farm and now nothing spawns above the Nether. Why? What's the harm? It WAS one of my favorite builds!
-Iron farms - Broken. Again, Why?
Before someone says, its not supposed to work that way... Why? Its a SANDBOX game (or WAS a sandbox game). If I want one of those farms, Why the heck would Mojang care. Or YOU for that matter.
I lost some EPIC builds and I got Bunnies and Banners in return. Gee... Thanks.
Redstone-obsidian generators are based on a bug.
The area above the nether isn't supposed to actually be part of the game, you can only get there because of a bug.
Iron farms are OP, and this is Minecraft, not Incinerategolemsforfreeironcraft. Seriously just go mine some iron, it only takes me a few hours to get a stack or more.
I understand that altering what was a clearly established system--a sort of physics in a way--is unpleasant, but none of the things you mention are things that were meant to be taken advantage of. It's like if in real life someone could create infinite electrical power with some rope and a cube of plastic: it makes no sense that it could ever happen that way and is clearly a breach in reality of some sort.
However, I do wish Mojang would add some physics on purpose to be taken advantage of. Turning redstone to obsidian was mostly harmless and was a pretty cool exploit. It was complicated enough not to be intuitive yet not weird enough to actually seem like a bug. I wish there were more interactions between various blocks/substances that would cause unexpected (yet awesome) surprises without requiring an interface like potions.
Good lord, this thread is still alive? I was leaving it alone because I thought it would die soon. I suppose I'll comment, then.
If fixing glitches is turning Minecraft into a non-sandbox game, laws against theft and murder are taking away our freedom. As many have said, they're bug fixes, not feature removals. None of those things that you have issues with were ever intentionally added. Sandbox doesn't mean roll with the glitches.

Redstone-Obsidian Generators was also a bug.

Your avatar is great for this.
The redstone-to obsidian glitch was a bug anyway. Obsidian is still infinite if you mine out the spawn platform of the end, leave, and come back.
