I like the fact that they are taking there time. Hopefully that means less bugs and more features.
Yeah, for sure. Understandably it can get quite frustrating waiting for something so eagerly, however taking your time in this line of work is of paramount importance, proven time after time by the premature releases of various games and updates that fail to deliver properly and subsequently receive disproportionate amounts of back-lash from the community.
Here's to a carefully, well developed update that will be bug-free and feature-rich

i heard and can anyone confirm that when 1.8 does get released you will have to start a new world " for survival mode " . i just hate that everything i'm building will be gone soon with this update . new stuff is exciting but starting over sucks . the anticipation is keeping me from building very much .don't get me wrong i'm an addict i play minecraft everyday but my enthusiasm is way down .

Yes, it's very good. Remember how goddamn buggy 1.7 was? Jesus, there were flipped textures and overlapping music and it was horrible until at least 1.7.3.

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
@Larry_Blazeburn "Not in the next couple of months, most likely. We're not rushing this update. Sorry!"
