Happy Now? I took that part out.
Your argument still falls short. I fail to see how adding new biomes takes longer than rewriting the majority of the game's code and starting the long path to optimizing it.

The problem with the truth, is that it never lies.
Very pleased that they are taking their time.
Rushing is what made 1.7 happen. Remember the shadows standing underneath blocks? The lopsided bed and weird doors? I rest my case.

Let me know if my posts are helpful or if you like them. That's what I'm here for.
I am currently lurking more than I am posting. I haven't gone anywhere.
I honestly wish they'd wait longer, they're going to run out of ideas sooner or later. I'd rather wait, and get bored of the game and be happy when there is new content out.
Oh come on people, they're not rushing an update for once. Be happy the final release will have more content and maybe less bugs than a typical rushed update.
Sure it isn't rushed, but it's been almost a year! And the change-log's bug-fixes are probably going to be useless minor bug fixes that most people don't care about.
In beta, an update would take no longer than a month.
This update is taking an entire year, about as long as minecraft's entire beta stage took. For what? A new silverfish re-skin, 3 new new stone variants, a slime-block, and possibly pointless minor bug fixes that don't make much of a difference? Sure, that's some neat content, but for 10 months of waiting (and counting), thats pretty lame.
This update better have some major bug fixes, and I mean MAJOR! They better have fixed at least few long-standing major bugs, because if they don't, then this was practically an entire year of waiting for nothing.
This update may not be rushed, but it's horribly slow.

7 months isn't terrible. Aside from that, there's a ton of bugfixes, additions, and performance improvements.

Good to know. Also, they're adding guardians and sea temples, so that makes the long wait worth it now! I sure hope they squashed some of the major bugs!
You can try to steal my air, I'm not going anywhere but up,up, anywhere but up.Your reign is coming down, I'm not gonna drown. Gonna rise up, yeah I'm gonna light up, never gonna give up. My sun is coming, up. Turn the music,up, up ,up, up(never gonna give up).
Is that all what people pay attention to these days? This update had truly revolutionized mapmaking, and the features to that aspect are still expanding.
Not to mention you've forgotten the most crucial survival addition of them all, the ocean monuments.

I apologize, I did not see your change of thoughts in the previous quote.

You are forgetting this part. I want you to go and recode all of Minecraft, while optimizing its code, and then tell me that it shouldn't take this long.

...but that's just like, my opinion, man.

Probably because this section is mostly dead, besides the small bits of hype that show up from time to time.
Praise be to Spode.
No idea, I agree this section is really dead lately. This thread probably should have been dead in a week.
