dragcave.net is one of the most requested sites to be on the whitelist - There's been several threads, well over 3 posts on this thread alone, petitions, polls - there's even been a fight on the dragon cave forums about how a troll said "minecraft is trying to cripple us".
The majority of the community uses dragon cave and likes it (opposed to people who don't use and dislike it), and it most certainly is safe.
The dragons do rely on clicks to stay alive and healthy, and many people's hard work (and time) has vanished in a day or less due to the fact it's stayed so long without being whitelisted.
...wait. As of what I saw before posting this, the dragcave.net images in SuperZac's sig got through but not the dragcave.net images in TurtleeyMC's sig? What in the world is happening here?
Silly idea, you could just upload a picture to a imagehosting site and then post it here. Thats just more work for people! I think this whitelist is useless!
Same thing.
I'd suggest you re-read the OP, actually just read it since you clearly havent read it yet, the thread is about a whitelist for which image uploading sites are allowed by the forum in [img] and [img] tags.

I've been spending WAY too much time on The Art of Trolling.
1. The filter exists to protect users.
2. Dragcave.net is not a threat to users.
3. Dragcave should be allowed through the filter.
1 is true. 2 is true. logically, 3 follows.
Can we stop arguing about it and just do it? It is hands down the MOST requested site to add to the whitelist.

Exactly! Honestly, I do not understand how some people are managing to interpret the whitelist as a tool to decide the fate of memes. Yes, we understand that you desire to introduce dragcave to fire and holy water. However, that has... nothing, nothing AT ALL, to do with phishing attacks imbeded in image files. Simply accept that your opinion—or my opinion—of dragcave is completely irrelevant to the whitelist.
Good deal! I was upset when my images didn't show at first, but I didn't know about the malicious ones. I'd like to have horizonmud.net added, please. I have sigs and banners made for a lot of mods, and they can be viewed behind most firewalls, like the Army's firewall here i nAfghanistan :smile.gif: all the other image sites fail. Thanks!
I think the point is that the whitelisted image hosts DON'T have the malicious referring link code that is the entire point of the whitelist in the first place. The point is not to be rid of specific images, so posting an image from a banned host on, say, imageshack, does not defeat the whitelist. Imageshack does not allow embedded redirects in their images, so you can't host a malicious image file there. Hence, the whitelist is far from useless.
Also, let's not turn this into another topic that ends up getting locked because people feel the need to express their negative opinions. Too much of that going around already.

Exactly. if you're a woman, I'd like to have your children. Meh.
But the point for whitelisting a host is that they don't allow coded images. Trustworthy hosts. I suggest you just stop flaming this forum and go have some cereal.
So, then I suggest you put in a request for the image host you want unbanned and hope it gets added. Otherwise, they have kindly listed the unbanned ones on page 1 :smile.gif:
I think it's a potentially kool service, feel free to check it out. It hasn't really been put that public yet :|
But err.... yeah
Security: Well sirey, Australian website domains require that you attach your details along with your business identification number to it, through the ABN Lookup... MEANING that if I was to ever use the whitelist for evil purposes, you can sue me, as my business is attached to the domain.
So please consider this, I have some good ideas for interactive clickamabobs.

If you would understand you can pick any image from any place. then rehost it on imgaeshack for example. And voila! You got the same image hosted! Think before posting.
I wasn't saying you couldn't do that, I always think before posting, the idea behind the whitelist was to stop malicious websites that require passwords to access images and then ill-informed people enter minecraft details into it and lose thier accounts. But yeah I agree stopping people from losing accounts to russian account stealers is a stupid idea.
