Biomes have been greatly improved, from their size, to their borders, to the entire map generation. If you really can't appreciate the implementation of new and exciting geographical features such as rivers, ravines, oceans, continents, mountains and swamps, I'm afraid nothing might please you. Besides, more are on the way, from nether improvements, to mushroom biomes, to perhaps volcanoes, and maybe even the skylands. We also have many new block types, as well as countless new foods, to spice up the game.
Bows have finally been overhauled. My personal opionion is that previously, they were just silly - bows take time to shoot, and machine-gunning is just absurd. I personally am very pleased with how they are now. Critical strikes and parrying also add fresh new elements to combat, which are always appreciated.
Sprinting is also quite fun, both to make day-to-day life go quicker as well as being useful in combat situations to push away mobs. The hunger bar it depends on won't kill you unless on hard mode, and is easily replenished (although I would have preferred it being toggleable).
Abandoned mineshafts add creepy and exciting labyrinthine structures underground, which, provided you don't have attention deficit disorder, are both fun to navigate and rewarding by giving out seeds and diamonds. The current lack of strongholds/ruins will probably be amended in the next update.
I don't care much for villages myself, but the argument that they make minecraft 'too easy' is ridiculous. If you really don't have the willpower to not live in them, then just turn structures off. There's no excuse for using this as an argument against 1.8.
I am truly sorry that you cannot seem to enjoy this update OP, as it really is the best one we've had in ages. I don't know, maybe you're trolling, maybe you're not. Either way, general consensus is that 1.8's been a great success.
As a final note, please, PLEASE do not mistake your own personal opinion for fact. Just because you personally haven't enjoyed the update does not mean that it has been a failure or dissapointment. It only means that you're frankly a sad person who can't enjoy these things. My advice? Try playing another, more stable game. We won't miss you.
The npc villages: Yes, the houses are ugly, but thats good, beacuse you dont want to live in a ugly small house. I can agree with the big farms, but later on in your thread you complain about the food system. The farms help you.
And npcs will be added in 1.9.
The food system: The game mode is called SURVIVAL. Before 1.8 ppl complained about survival being too easy. And it was too easy. A small dirt house with a torch and the survival is over. If you dont like Survival, play Creative.
Biomes: Im sorry, but are you blind? There are huge deep oceans now, big plain deserts, rolling hills and flying islands.
You just need to explore a bit more.
Mineshafts: Yes, the mineshafts are pretty useless. I agree, but still, they are cool.
Exp points: They will add more uses for xp points in 1.9.
Endermen: The Endermen wasnt supposed to be THAT rare, just a bit rarer than zombies and skeletons.
And if you think its easy to kill them, its good. Many ppl thinks its hard as hell.
Ruins: The ruins are supposed to be really really really rare.
Bows charging: The bow charging is great! Bows was too OP before. And if you cant handle the mobs, play on easy or peaceful.
Sprinting: Yes, it is too easy to accidenlty sprint right now. I hope they will fix it.
New lighting: If you have played since alpha you know that it was laggier before. And its not Notchs fault that your computer cant handle the game. I personally think the new lighting is ugly as hell, but what are you gonna do?
NPC Villages make Minecraft Easy: They are actually quite rare, so its out of pure luck that you would find one and start your journey with an extra kick.
Food System: I agree, although everyone will get used to it in time.
Biomes: The Biomes are ****ing HUGE now, how could you not notice? And we weren't all expecting **** tons of new biomes... I mean its supposed to resemble earth and its hit spot on. We dont want it looking like an inbred as **** planet do we?
Abandoned Mineshafts: Are you ****ing kidding me? Have you not felt a sense of exploration and realism when finding one? It gives you the feeling that you're not alone and people are out there.
Exp: This opens up a whole new window of opportunities. Just imagine mods that integrate levels and mana bars. This was revolutionary.
Slendermen: Get over it.
Runis: Another great edition to Minecraft. Gives a sense of realism and are amazing wonders to come across.
Bows: Get over it.
Charging: Get over it.
New lighting:: Are you ****ing retarded? It doesnt increase lag at all. Its been designed not to make huge lag waves and it doesnt. You just have a very shitty computer.
Conclusion: Seriously get the **** over it.
...You could type more? ****ing bring it dickwad...
1 Villages are actually very rare, finding one at the time where it's resources are actually useful is very very unlikely. I, and my friend, and my other friend have all travelled about 4000 blocks (Which is a lot) without finding a trace. About them being ugly, this is beta! Who said notch was done with them? Stop whining.
2 I semi-agree with the adventure map thing, but I find the new hunger system wonderful. The only reason you are getting annoyed is because you actually have to do something g rather than laze about all the time. This is SURVIVAL. About the poison spiders, I find them perfectly feasible. The only reason you are ranting about them is because you are not used to there actually being a CHALLENGE in Minecraft.
3 Yes there's only 1 new biome, we already have enough. The biomes ARE waaaay larger, ask anyone but yourself. Deserts and oceans and forests and anything are huuuuge. Don't base everything off just one little area.
4 I find abandoned mines are fine, although I guess they can get a bit boring. But it's better than mining all day, so why do people do that?
5 Everyone (Except you obviously), knows that XP points ARE going to have a use in a future update. Be patient. Mojang cant do everything in 1 update. As for the multiplayer, that's a bug, there's bugs every game and it will be fixed.
6 What the hecks a slenderman? It's ENDERman. They are going to be improved in a future update. As for damage, what difficulty are you playing on? Easy?
7 Wrong, it's 3 per world (Or it will be very soon). They are supposed to be very hard to find, like some far in game element which is a big goal to find.
8 Bows are awesome. You can't lazily arrow spam your enemy's to death. It's called COMBAT.
1) NPC Villages - just don't live in them. Do it like I do. Get seeds myself, get resources myself, build a home NEAR their village.
2) Food System - Don't like the hunger bar? Peaceful mode then.
3) Biomes - New biomes such as: oceans, rivers, village (yeah it's considered a biome), mountains. Not much bigger? Use your brain.
4) Mineshafts - I agree with endless. Crappy boring and useless? Nah. You can find diamond inside chests. It's no different from exploring a cave really. Then they cut through ravines. So? Rebuild the ground.
5) EXP Points - 1.9
6) ENDERMEN - Don't like it? Peaceful.
7) Strongholds/Ruins - 3 in a world. If it's as common as mineshafts, boss mobs in 1.9 would have a serious problem.
8) Bows - Arrows useless? PEACEFUL!
9) Sprinting - Don't use it. Simple. You use the W key to walk slowly without pressing shift? Wow. Genius. As for user-created maps, we can always create new ones. Or recreate some of them to match the sprinting system in 1.8. And of course we can provide food at some point in the map as a "checkpoint". Gives us more of a rush and thrill to do so, such that you won't go hungry before you reach the checkpoint.
10) Lighting - Turn off all computer animations. If it still doesn't work, upgrade your computer. Not asking you to get a new one. Just get more RAM or get a new GPU.
TL;DR: Your arguments don't even make any sense. Its the truth, deal with it.

I guess you haven't discovered the "ocean" biome. It is quite fricken large. I've noticed its loaded with clay too but a lot of it is on the sea floor making the trips tedious unless you make a underwater air trap.
Ok.First of all biomes are LARGER! there are at least 3 more (mountain, ocean, swamp).
Npc villages are FREAKING rare. so most people wont find them. Abandoned mineshafts are awsome and HAVE chests.
Endermen are scary, Because they teleport around you while your attcking them.
The food system is in a way more 'realistic'. But prehapes a little clumsy.
And last but not least. Go code your own game and see if you can do a better job!!!Noob
