After testing my theory multiple times, I think I can safely confirm that holding an ender pearl makes you immune to Endermen. Just hold it in your hand, and they'll completely ignore you. You can even puch them; they won't give a damn.

All moderation on forums is biased. Mods and admins do play favorites. Thus there is truly no point in "playing by the rules" since enforcement of said rules is subjective. That is why I refuse to censor my speech and will call things exactly as I see them without reservation.
If you Right-Click an Enderman with the Ender Pearl, it will teleport away.

It makes it too damn easy to just punch them in the face with it. Someone fix it, please!

Well, although it looks like the pearls may not do anything at all, then, I could see how them ignoring you might make sense...
Being able to punch them in the face and have no consequences would ridiculous, though, and probably a bug. I still need to find one in my game to test it out.
